Hotel Ibis Hamilton Tainui

Family of 4 adults, booked 2 rooms. One room overlooking the Waikato River and river walk, the other looking out to the city was a lovely sunny room. Very quiet. Extremely good value as it was Christmas night and the family inn was full! Would definitely stay again.

We have stayed at the Ibis many times, find it great for the price but this time were on the 7th floor and it needed painting badly. Other than that find it awesome for its location if you are going out inner city and staff are always pleasant.

Very good deal with the Hotel, they were very accomodating to our group of 7 (with 3 rooms). Initially our rooms weren't next to each other but the receptionist (Toni) was very kind enough to move us to a set of rooms that were all next to each other. Definitely would stay here again, within walking distance to everything.

Great value for money

Stayed here for 2 nights for business, and while the room and bathroom were small, it delivered everything that was needed. The king sized bed was one of the comfiest I have slept on in hotels and the shower was superb. The reception staff were extremely pleasant and helpful too. Highly recommended.

Nice clean comfortabel facility and very close to all central city attractions. Very well priced on this ocasion as well. Only negative is that car parking is usually in the casino carpark which is close but does take time to do. They do have valet parking options however.

I have stayed here many times although this is the first time I have paid my own hotel costs. Of course the special price on offer allowed that to happen. It was a lot more cheaper than motels in Hamilton, apart from the one I usually stay at, but the small difference in costs was offset by the fact that I was able to walk to wherever I was going and so I did not need my car. Staying at the Ibis allowed me to have a ball! Besides I have always loved staying there.

Very helpful staff, the registration process was easy, rooms were clean, tidy and quiet. Would go back again.

We got a very good last minute deal through rates to go ! so we booked 2 rooms for a night, one for the kids, one for my hubby and I. Overall stay was pleasant.

Enjoyed my stay at the Ibis. However, when I called to ask if the room had a bath, before I booked, I was told yes. When I arrived & discovered there was only a shower, I called the desk and was told all the rooms only had showers. The phone in information people need to be better advised. Otherwise, location, staff & the room were overall good for the price I paid.

Stayed 2 nights 31st Dec 2010 & 1st Jan 2011, have stayed here before and it is great. Very convenient quite comfortable and staff very pleasant. Breakfast was not included but the rate we paid for room only was ok. We opted for valet parking for convenience and when we booked in were told it would be $30 for the 2 nights which we expected, when booking out we were told that the rate had gone up to $18 (increase of 20%) for the second night, but as we had already been told it would cost us $15 per night that was all we were charged.

Very Good: Lovely place and lovely people. Without exception, all staff were great. Well done.Loved having breakfast by the river. Not so good: Had to request a room change because of noisy aircon. I think it's a bit much charging for garaging chaps! Hasn't happened to me before EVER :) I may be a bit spoilt but I'm used to complimentary internet access where I usually stay in Hamilton. I guess if you need to charge,a 2 hour hour block is OK but it would be better if it were based on USAGE hours rather than CLOCK hours. This is because you need to go in and out of the internet to check for messages and do work across the day, NOT in a solid spell. Gets rather expensive when you need to check in a number of times in a day !! I will probably stay at the IBIS again.

Good facilities, handy location, friendly staff. Overall a good stay. Would go there again.
