Hotel Ibis Rotorua

stay there one night, the TV was not working at first, then I tried different buttons on the controller and finally got it work. when I checked out, got a 20 dollars bill for movie which i did not watch. I tried to explain to the reception. but the staff didnot care and kept saying you have to pay... 20 dollars was not much but felt got robbed and the staff was not helpful and kind of rude

Great hotel at great price. Central location, walking distance to almost everything. The rooms were nice but had two double beds which didn't leave a lot of space. Reception staff were very friendly and we got a late check out and no extra charge which I greatly appreciated! Did not eat at the hotel so can not comment on bar/restaurant. Will stay at the Ibis if I visit Rotorua again.

Enjoyed our 2 nights at Ibis Rotorua. Very welcoming staff and service very good. Good location in the CBD. Would stay there again.

Unbelievable nice deal, we've enjoyed the stay at Hotel Ibis Rotorua very much. Location is good, room is clean & tidy. There was almost "no space walking around" with 2 x double beds in that size of room, but should not be a big problem if no kids.

Stay in this hotel for 5 nights. They provide complimentary wireless network once a day only with limited time.

The Ibus is a very short walk to down town Rotorua and handy to some very nice restaurants and cafe's. We had requested an upgraded superior lake view room for two nights but were inadvertently put into a standard room. I queried this the following morning and when staff realized their mistake we were immediately moved with apologies and in my opinion more than adequately compensated. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and our rooms were clean and well stocked. Breakfast on both days was very nice and plentiful. Would stay there again.

Good service - no problems

Very good, value for money, near to town & restaurant.

We felt this hotel offered good value for money. It is very close to town so no need for taxis!! The rooms aren't the biggest in the world but if you are just after a bed and aren't planning on spending heaps of time in your room, then its fine. The room was clean too which is a bonus.

Ideally the hotel was average overall, great location, had stayed here only 2 nights and the staff were always cheerful and friendly at reception & the bar, a pleasant atmosphere. I must compliment the chef for the breakfast buffet though, I couldn't even wait till the next morning, the breakfast menu was fantastic & there was definitely an even spread which I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this the most, although they could have done with more parking on the basement level of the building, the access in general was excellent in and out of the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, colleagues and friends and would gladly stay here again.

Wonderful 2 night stay at the Ibis Rotorua. Lovely room, wonderful service & beautiful buffet breakfast ! Will stay there again in an instant :-)

Very close to the center of town. The price was right. The breakfast nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. Happy hour was a nice bonus. Certainly recommend this hotel

A great breakfast and our stay fine. The only thing that needs tweeking is the carpet marks need removing and the shower needs the ceiling attended to. A small brush in the crevices in the shower would have it A1

Excellent rate and in very good location.

Being a member of a party of 9 we found that the breakfast buffet was extremely disappointing.The fired potatoes were under cooked or should I say half cooked. They were raw in the centre. The scrambled eggs were over cooked and dry. The selection was limited. Not at all impressed considering previous experience. My sons had returned from Australia and extremely particular about the quality of food. They also commented about the quality. We also had guests that joined us that morning who weren't impressed
