"This is a clean modern functional hotel with more than adequate rooms. The front desk staff are helpful and pleasant. We were there post Xmas/New Year so things were running at a low level. It caters for coach parties so can get busy. It is on a tram line to the West Bahnhof and gives easy access to Vienna centre. The Shoenbrunn Palace is a 20 minute walk away. This hotel suffers from the nearby area (Pennzing) which is up-market going seedy or seedy gradually going up and has very little to recommend it in terms of bars/restaurants/shops. Garage parking recommended if with a car." - colin mould

Highway A4 direction Vienna, exit A4 direction Graz/Linz, continue along Südosttangente, A23 until exit Altmannsdorf/Wiental, keep right, direction Linz/Schönbrunn, continue along Altmannsdorfer Strasse which becomes Grünberg Strasse, turn left at traffic light, direction Salzburg/Linz, follow Linke Wienzeile until you see the Palace of Schönbrunn on the left, turn right at traffic light into Schlossallee, before the underpass keep left, turn left into Linzer Strasse, to No 165, Hotel Kavalier.
