Getting there:How to reach us by car Exit the A2 motorway at Lugano Sud and at the first light turn left into via Calloni. Continue straight past the next two lights and after ca. 100 m turn right into via Motta (which is recognisible from the covered parking signpost). Drive to the end of the street and arrive at Piazza Cioccaro. How to reach us by train The Lugano Dante hotel is easily reachable by train: a comfortable and frequent funicular service from the train station brings you directly to the heart of the city to Piazza Cioccaro. How to reach us by airplane If you land at Lugano Airport -The Lugano Dante hotel is located only 5 km from Lugano-Airport. You can reach our hotel through a comfortable shuttle bus which belongs to the city of Lugano and which stops directly at our hotel, between 8 am and 8 pm (CHF 18 round-trip); the ride is free for our clients who have booked one of our Executive. The Milano-Malpensa international airport is only 70 km from our hotel.

Car parking:The Hotel Lugano Dante offers a particular service for our guests' cars: a modern, fully automatized underground parking system with 53 car spaces. The parking area is not accessible to third parties and is constantly under video-surveillance. Rate per car, per day: CHF 33.-- We have reserved 7 indoor parking spaces for cars with a maximum height of 2 m and a maximum weight of 2 tons. If your car exceeds these requisites, please inform us at the time of booking.
Child Policy:Extra rollaway beds and baby cots are available upon request only, are subject to availability and fees, and must be confirmed in writing by the hotel at time of booking. The maximum limit of a rollaway bed or babycot in Superior and Executive double rooms is 1. In the Quality rooms is not possible to add any cot or additional bed. Supplemental fees are not calculated automatically in the total room costs and must be paid separately to the hotel.
Fabulous hotel! Very well located with easy access to banks, money changers, telephone companies, pharmacies, restaurants & a quick trip with a sky lift to railway station - only 1.10 sf!! Hotel staff were very courteous & the breakfast is definitely the best in Lugano! Rooms are slightly small but very comfortable & clean..Very highly recommended by a frequent traveller..
The hotel is at the base of the funicular railway, so that was brilliant. It is surrounded by shops and restaurants and there is also an open-air market place close by The hotel is nice and well done, but the room (I had a single) was tiny. The staff are friendly and the buffet breakfast excellent.
Would definitely stay here again. Great breakfast buffet, even including tiramisu and cooked to order pancakes! Lots of nice details, very friendly staff. Very convenient for those arriving by train. Great bar snacks (free with drinks) at cocktail time.
I was given a room on the third floor which looked straight into another apartment. It was dark and with no view. When I asked to change to a higher floor, I was given a room one floor higher with a much nicer outlook.

Superb location, right next to the "funicolare" in the middle of the old town, very convenient for train travellers. One of the rarely seen benefits is the free minibar in each room (of course choice is limited to non-alcoholic beverages).

We have traveled many places within Europe. Lugano Dante Swiss Hotel was probably one of the best hotels we have stayed with on all levels. Service with a smile, helpful, very clean and an enormous breakfast that was scrumptious!
