Hotel Mare Dongdaemun

The beds are far too hard. The location is poor because we had to take a taxi to catch the airport bus. The staff were very helpful, breakfast was good, bathroom is good except I couldn't get all the nozzles to work in the shower. TV & movie and internet system is good.

It is quite a good place to stay considering the price paid. Its about 10 mins walk from Dapsimni station exit 4. Just go straight and you will find it. Staff are helpful, helped us to order delivery since we can't speak Korean. Most of them can speak and understand English quite well. There's desktop with internet access in the room too However the housekeeping was poor. Threw away my paper bag with a book and handphone charger in it..

The walking distance to Dapsimi subway station is understated. It's more like a 20 mins walk. Similarly the distance from the Bus 6013 stop is more like half an hour with bags. The walls are thin and you can hear whatever goes on in the next room or corridor. The housekeeping removed my half eaten packet of cuttlefish and potato chips without checking with me. There was also no power adapter available at the front desk. Other than that, the hotel is superb for it's price. A street nearby houses many restaurants offering good and cheap food. Front Desk staff speaks very good English.
