Hotel Maya Alicante

Fantastic balcony, large room, full breakfast menu. Nice pool to relax by and beach close by. A very nice place to stay if you want a relaxing holiday.

Although the area is a bit hilly it is easy accessed by busses and the tram. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it is possible to get food and drink at any time from 7am until midnight. thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Maya though the walls are very thin so if you have some noisy neighbours (like we did!) your sleep may not be the best! Breakfast was pretty good though and close walk to the beach! We were also greeted with some lovely snacks at reception on arrival.

Pleasant basic hotel. Clean and friendly. Nice swimming pool. Free covered, locked parking. Short walk to centre of old Alicante, past the castle and gypsy quarter. Five minutes from the beach. Ideal hotel for staying in Alicante before an early flight from the airport (15 minutes drive away).

The hotel was acceptable, a standard 3* hotel. the pool area looked very clean but lacked any atmospher.

Nice modern hotel with outdoor swimming pool, close to beach and 10 minutes walk from the old streets of Alicante at the base of hill on which the castle sits.

This hotel is a throw back to Spanish hotels of the 1970's. The catering is a joke, everything is either out of a tin or packet and food is served at room temperature even if is supposed to be hot. Having said that, the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly although they don't speak much English. We were hassled by the locals while shopping in the city centre of Alicante and overall were quite disappointed both in the hotel and the destination.

It is a very good hotel for a good price, the only disadvantage is the location. It is too far from the centre and too far from the beach when you want to walk everything. You can easily take the bus or metro and of course a taxi. But that is the only negative point.

I am an infrequent traveller having little european expereince. I have no experience in other spanish hotel to compare as benchmark. By the way, I am a satisfied guest considering the hotel is rated 3 stars. Walking distance to most public transport services; bus and trains. Has two common internet computer at the lobby for free guest use. The staff is friendly. For a non-spanish speaking guest, you may find difficulty communicating depending which staff is manning the counter.

We went the last weekend in April and were not allowed to use the pool other than that they were very polite, called all our taxis and let us check out late on the last day. There was a supplement for this but just worked out about 10 Euro a head... WEll Worth it.

Cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent and our room was spacious and comfortable. Location is approx 30 minutes walk from the town centre, taxi fare approx €4. Reception staff were less than helpful on occasions and pretended not to understand even simple English when it suited them. Otherwise well recommended.

Perfectly acceptable 3 star hotel. Only downside is the distance away from the town itself (approx 30 mins on foot). However, desk staff friendly with working English and taxi's arrived promptly when required. Would use again.

Nice hotel, pleasant staff, clean tidy,evrything you want in a hotel.Twenty minute walk from the centre of Alicante. Alternatively, taxis are very reasonable so not a problem.

It was a great hotel with excellent staff and an excellent view of the ocean! I'll definitely stay there again when i'm in spain.

This hotel was very central in Alicante. Just a short walk to the beach castle and marina. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The food available was first class and very good value for money. Well worth a visit.

Very busy hotel. Good value for money but a taxi ride into Alicante itself.
