Hotel Maya Alicante

"Pleasant basic hotel. Clean and friendly. Nice swimming pool. Free covered, locked parking. Short walk to centre of old Alicante, past the castle and gypsy quarter. Five minutes from the beach. Ideal hotel for staying in Alicante before an early flight from the airport (15 minutes drive away)." - Paul Howland

"This hotel is a throw back to Spanish hotels of the 1970's. The catering is a joke, everything is either out of a tin or packet and food is served at room temperature even if is supposed to be hot. Having said that, the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly although they don't speak much English. We were hassled by the locals while shopping in the city centre of Alicante and overall were quite disappointed both in the hotel and the destination." - Anonymous
