Perfect for business , very central friendly staff
Perfect location for Business or pleasure Clean modern and friendly + English
I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past few years and I have always found its room prices are fair considering the central location. This time I booked a superior room with double bed, bath/shower and with free Internet. Storage & hanging space are limited so plan to keep items in your suitcase and a drawer safe, Very comfortable size for several days' stay. The hotel is so close to the Tokyo metro and department stores you are not limited to the hotel amenities - this time I was unwell and the outstanding customer service support really saved the day. Highly recommended..
This Hotel is close to Ikebukuro Train station and very convenience to go anywhere in tokyo....
Simply the best
I stayed at Sunroute Plaza Hotel Shujuku for my first 2 nights and decided to shift to Metro Hotel for the weekend to save some money. I was skeptical at first after reading mixed reviews, but decided to try anyways. Departed from Shunjuku Station for Ikebukuro station which is also a main subway hub. Cost 150 yen/pax one way. 4 JR Stations later, I arrived at Ikebukuro. Hotel is only a block away. Very convenient. Some eateries and malls nearby, but definitely not as many as Shunjuku. However, good reasonably-priced hotel to stay as a base to go visit Tokyo. All receptionists speak English. There is free LAN internet in the room. No wifi in room or hotel lobby unless you have a FON login acc for wifi in lobby. Normal supplies provided (toothbrush, shaver, shampoo, cotton-bugs, hair-dryer etc. There are English channels (BBC, CNN). Great value for its price. (between USD 100-140/night for 2 consecutive nights booking. If it cost more, you could be better off staying in Shunjuku.
Conveniently located. The English speaking staff were very friendly and helpful. Gladly helped us retrieve a lost purse from a non English-speaking travel agency.
Great location, very short walk to Ikebukuru Stn. Very helpful Concierge. We booked early via website and got a very good rate for our family of four in 2 rooms. Certainly good value for money. Will definitely recommend to others and stay here again.
Beside the size of the rooms... ( which is normal for Tokyo Hotels) everything was very good. Location is perfect - close to Underground, Eating, Shopping. Hotel conceirge are very helpful and speak fluent english. Airport Limo bus stops in front of the hotel so its convinent for Airport transfers. People who plans to arrive early, prepare yourself that hotel will not let u check in before 1400hrs even if they have rooms as normal check in time is 1400hrs.
Ikebukuro is a great area to stay-in. Hotel is very near the Ikebukuro station, very convenient! Love the complimentary internet access!
Wonderful hotel with modern facilities in the room. Good a/c and humidifier provided. Stayed later in Tokyo STN area, and still think this is value for money if location is not an issue.
This is my first visit to Japan, Metropolitan Tokyo certainly make our stay very memorable, especially the concierge which is very helpful. The location is excellent.
My wife & I were very pleased with our stay as it is difficult to fault this place--service is exceptional. The hotel's Chinese reastaurant is very good indeed, if pricy. The only disadvantage of the hotel is that its location is slightly out of the way but the airport bus does stop there & a subway station is nearby--taxi from central areas like Ginza can be expensive eg Yen 4000 plus
Duty manager is very helpful and understand english.
Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo is excellently located. Public transport is just around the corner. Restaurants, shops and department stores are around. The guest room with twin beds is spacious. However, the room with a double bed is too small.
An affordable and centrally located hotel. Only drawback was that some internet listing posted that the swimming pool was free for hotel guests but it was not the case. Otherwise it was a very pleasant and memorable stay at the hotel. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who intends to visit Tokyo, Japan.
The main concern is about the procedure for keeping your luggage at concierge after check out. For security, it is better to hang a tag on the luggage right away and give a card to the guest for picking up back the luggage. Not just by mouth.
I love this hotel. This hotel is maybe about 2 blocks away from Ikebukuro Station where you can catch the JR trains, the Metro & I believe there was another Private train line there as well. It's a very convenient location. I stayed there for three nights when I just got to Tokyo & then stayed there again for one night when I came back to Tokyo before leaving the following day. I got an upgraded room on my second stay there. I would definitely stay here again if I travel to Tokyo again!
all the hotel's staff that we encountered during our stay were helpful and very approachable. we will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends who will travel to japan.
The location was perfect, close to trains, restaurants, pubs. The room was quite small, but recently decorated and clean, we ate at the cross straights in the hotel, a buffet, we didnt feel as though we were eating late at 8pm, but felt rushed, we were told it closed for food at 9pm, the buffet was running low and they didnt replenish, the deserts in particular were sparse. We had a drink in the orient bar, it was a nice experience, good waiting staff.
