Getting there:Here you can find itineraries to reach The Hotel from other Tuscany cities... From Firenze... From "Firenze-Certosa", proceed to "Siena-Firenze" (turn to the right after the highway tollbooth of A1 "Milano-Roma"). After about an hour (65 Km), exit at "Siena-Nord" towards Stellino (on the right after the exit). Keep going towards "Centro Storico" and "via Garibaldi" (area "Due Lupe"). From highway A1, "Roma-Milano": From the exit "Val di Chiana", proceed towards "Siena-Bettolle". After an hour (about 70 Km) exit at the Siena bypass ("tangenziale"), and keep going as far as "Siena Nord" towards Stellino (on the right after the exit). Keep going towards "Centro Storico" and "via Garibaldi" (area "Due Lupe").

Intenet only available at reception and very slow. Friendly staff at front desk and breakfast room. Breakfast very limited. Clearning ladies in the morning very lound, walls and doors very thin.
I liked this hotel. It is not posh with artifical trappings but it is roomy, very clean, spacious and what you would want in a hotel to have a comfortable stay. I liked this hotel and would go back and stay here again if going to Sienna.
Standard Bedrooms are beautifully furnished in a modern style; they all have private showers, telephone and satellite TV and fast internet facility. Most of the rooms have air conditioning and a striking view over the historic center.

The hotel featured a very good breakfast spread. It is a bit of a hike from the train station if you are carrying bags, but there is a bus stop near by. The hotel is just inside the city wall but not especially close to the train staion or the city center. Il Campo and Duomo are a ~15min walk through the narrow streets of the city. Nice quiet room that was clean. There was a computer in the lobby with internet access.
Its not a bad hotel for the price - short walk into centre. However the hotel has very thin walls so don't expect to get too much sleep

After a number of hotel stays over 5 weeks in Italy I would rate the Minerva in Siena among the best. The twin room was a good size and comfortable; also the bathroom was comparatively spacious and the breakfast was generous. The staff were helpful and courteous.
This hotel is on the outskirts of the city of Siena and the city is within walking distance from the hotel but quite a long walk is involved to get into the heart, Il Campo piazza, which used to take us about 15-20 minutes. The facilites are adequate and the continental breakfast provided was good. Was pleased with our room and the ensuite. There was no room service and at times the staff were very unhelpful in dealing with our requests especially at night. Found the night staff to be impolite and unfriendly at times.
Good price value hotel. Do not expect to much from the breakfast. Well located for those who are arriving to the city by car.
