"A very good hotel with excellent English speaking staff. Higher end prices but very clean. Location is very near to Akasaka station on the Maranouchi line on the Tokyo tube so cannot use a Japan Rail Pass if you have invested in this. Free internet access if you have a laptop but near internet access outside but quite expensive (210 Yen for 10 minutes). Overall a good hotel but generally better for those not on a budget." - Anonymous

"The hotel is small, but relative to other hotels in Asia, it is comparable. It is in a very convenient location --about 3 blocks away from the Akasaka-Mitsuke station, restaurants, etc. The hotel was very clean and we were extremely pleased with the amenities provided in the bathroom. Hotel Monterey Akasaka is a 13-story hotel situated in center of the Akasaka district, adjacent to the Aakasaka Imperial Grounds, and approximately 45 miles (approximate travel time is 1.5 hours.) from Tokyo's Narita International Airport.
