No real complaints (bed was hard but thats always true in japan), walking distance to a lot of things including the train station, imperial palace, street market, etc.
Close to several metro stations and within easy walking distance of Tokyo station this is a good base in Tokyo. It enabled me to come straight from the airport and later jump on the Shinkansen without having to change trains whith my lugage. Furthermore the hotel is close to several of the sights, in a nice neighbourhood. Room was small but well laid out, bathroom as well (tilled not plastic walls). The free internet access (cable not wifi) was good to have. I wish I had noticed the hotel sold cheap day tickets to the metro before I was checking out.
Great stay at this hotel, fantastic location, room was large by Tokyo standards. Appreciated the helpful staff, and the free internet network. Location is just round the corner from Ginza main road, and a stop from Tokyo JR station. Would definitely recommend this place. The only slight drawback was that despite requesting a non smoking room, it still had a strong cigarette odour .. but it was solved by opening the window for a while.
I can't complement this hotel more. Excellent location a stones throw from ginza's main shopping street. Easy access to the Tokyo metro. Great staff all spoke good English. Smallish room but par for the course and has everything required including unlimited internet (no wifi). Would be pleased to stay again.
Ecellent location in Ginza and great value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. My only concern was that the corridors and rooms on Levels 5 & 6 (we had several rooms) smelt smoky.
The Hotel Monterey Ginza was perfect for us in every respect, all of the above and our room was so so quiet ! Thank you, HotelClub !
Very very good location, within a few hundred metres walk to 3 metro stations which provide about 6 different lines already. However, the room is really a 'no-frills' kind of room. Nothing spectacular, and a few free-to-air channels but only 1 English channel - BBC. But if you intend to stay out most of the day, should be fine.
small rooms as expected in tokyo, second time round our room was slightly larger and made a massive difference. staff were polite and spoke quite a bit of english. the meal at the french restaurant there was one of the best we have ever had.
Hotel was a bit worn, but still nice and clean. The rooms were small, but it is right next to a major subway stop and is only a few blocks away from the center of Ginza
Highly rate this hotel in premium neighbourhood in Tokyo... 15min walk to JR Tokyo. In middle of best high end shopping area. Outside front door you have two little supermarkets, coffee shops galore and 80m away a mcdonalds. Really rate this location and hotel itself was pretty good, clean little room that was quite comfortable.
This is the best of the three hotels we stayed in Japan recently. The location can't be any closer to Ginza, and a subway station is almost next door. It is surprisingly quiet. The facilities have a lot of class, displaying a charming retro style. Of the three hotels, this is the cheapest, which makes me recommend it to others without reserve!
Excellent
I was expecting a very small room with limited facilities but found it was more than adequate for 2 nights with a desk small table and arm chair plus a double bed. Good clean bathroom with all the amenities. My only complaints is the limited display on the street making it hard to locate the hotel and the lack of a safe in the room. I recommend using this hotel for a very central location in downtown Tokyo
Very pleasant hotel in a central area close to the Subway and a short walk from the central station. Staff very helpful.
Very clean and well located hotel. You have 3 subway stations at your finger-tips which is a perfect base to going out and seeing Tokyo. The rooms are fine in size and were nice and cool in the hot summer. The only negative thing I could say about the hotel is the fact that they don't have WiFi and forking out 100Yen for 15 minutes on the net is a bit steep. Otherwise it was a perfect hotel and I would stay again.
The hotel has a good central location and was clean with reasonable size double rooms given that Japanese hotel rooms can be very small indeed. However, the most impressive aspect of the hotel was the extremely helpful service provided by the English speaking reception staff. When we were unable to find availability on a day tour to Mount Fuji at short notice they went out of their way to make calls and to find an available tour for us. This made the stay at this hotel very satisfactory indeed.
Location is perfect. Walking distance to Tokyo central station, Apple store, Sony building and main Ginza "strip". Restaurants in the surrounding area range from $10.00 AUD for Tempura set upward. Hotel rooms large by Japanese standards. Hotel staff did not speak much English but tried to assist in allways possible. We would stay here again.
This hotel can be reached with a relatively short walk from Tokyo station. It has lots of small food shops around it to get pastries for breakfast /dinner items. The hotel does not have free internet acccess. Visit the major computer stores though- Sony building / Apple store and use their internet! The location allowed a walk to the Fish markets, Ginza shopping area. Would highly recoomend for value. Nice area to stay in.
Excellent place if you want to stay in Ginza; centrally located, modern rooms, free internet, very good service by very friendly staff. Western breakfast options available.
Well positioned for metro and JRlines. Would stay again
