The Hotel Monterey Hanzomon is located ideally in the quiet residential and business district. Ginza, Shinjuku, Shibuya, and many more major Tokyo areas are easy to access. convenient for business and sightseeing. The hotel is newly built and opened on Sep.12, 2006. The design concept, such as room coloring, is based on the taste of old samurai residence in Edo era.

My 3rd stay this year at this hotel, found it less clean than previous times.
Very clean and nice hotel with good location. Very convenient when taking the Tokyo metro as the Hanzomon Metro station (exit 5) is just opposite the hotel and there are a few food stalls around and convenient stores too. Weekend and night times are very quiet as hotel is located in the business district. Within walking distance to the Imperial Palace. Highly recommend this hotel.

Hard to fault as value for money is excellent. The rooms are fairly small but are modern and very clean. The bathroom is rather funky and has a nice deep bath. The staff speak some english and a generally helpful. Access is excellent via exit 5 from Hanzomon Station on the Hanzomon Line. A short walk to a Cafe Veloce (good coffee), McDonalds, AM/PM store, Tony Romas and Emperors Palace/Gardens. Full buffet breakfast was good although a little pricey, 1900YEN (aprox 24.00AUD). Only complaint would be the rather ordinary bed otherwise would highly recommend as a base for a stay in Tokyo.
excellent location ,subway entry accross the road, Quiet, clean, Recaptoin and cleaning staff very pleasant and helpful. Only slight uncomfort were the heavy strange filled pillows ?.Apart from that we had a very enjoyable stay, lovely bakery few minutes walk turn left as you exit the Hotel plus ampm stores short walk either way.
Perfect central location. Tokyo Metro underground station literally across the road (Hanzomon Station take exit 5) Lobby staff speak good English and are very helpful. Rooms are of decent size for Tokyo. Great clean, modern building. Very quiet. High speed internet in your room.
My husband & I enjoyed our stay 3 night stay here, the hotel is directly opposite Hanzomon subway station, located in a very quiet area, which is great to come back to after sightseeing in busy Tokyo. The room was small but well equiped and very clean.
Realy very nice hotel, good price, central Tokyo location, peacefull surrounding, would stay again...
Nice rooms good size and clean staff friendly and helpful amazing location
awesome location if you want close to subway. small rooms and double beds fit only one person. maybe opt for twin if there are 2 people and get a bit more space? 10 second walk to subway and a central location. would stay again.
For a single room with confind spacing and no views, the hotel room was priced on the high side.
Services could be improved by having a bell-boy to bring up luggage for customers, given the high price.
This is not an "entertaiment area" with lot of bars and restaurants but quiet area. Good connection with "Hanzomon Line"!
Good business hotel - as it is central. I would probably chose a different area for a vacation hotel.
The hotel is brand new, very clean, ultra modern design, the rooms are small by western standars but you have to remember where you are (in Tokyo, physical space comes at a premium) - broadband internet access is free which is another bonus and 'Premium Movies TV' are only $10 equivalent for the night, 'Mini-bar' is priced very reasonably, laundry service is also available. The Hotel is situated somewhat away from the main tourist areas but it is just accross the road from Hanzomon Metro Station (Exit No 5) which is very convenient. Popular tourist destinations are easy to reach (i.e. Shibuya is the 3rd stop once you get on at Hanzomon, which makes it a ~5min journey). Would definitely recommend this hotel and would consider staying there again.
The room was quite dirty. There was a thick layer of dust on the wardrobe and the carpet was covered with stains. I would not want to stay there again.
Very modern hotel with nice decor and excellent service. Its location is central and its rooms are generously sized. The are a few eating establishments nearby and the subway station entrance is located across the road.
I was quite comfortable with this hotel. The room displayed a nice decor, but a very tight to move around with ease. If you want a very nice location with a little peace and distraction-free from the city traffic.
This hotel was clean and modern, very close to a Metro station. The price was reasonable.
Clean, nice hotel. Worth of money. Good point is that hotel is right opposite to Hanzamon station (exit nro 5).
For the annual cherry blossom festivals, this is a great location. It is also directly across the street from the Hanzomon subway station, with elevator access, if needed. Rooms are small and there is no real lobby area. Free high-speed Internet connection in room. Breakfast is ¥1,900 with ample food and selection. Selection of restaurants nearby.
