"Easy access to several dining options and within a block of the Friendship Store, which has everything from groceries to souvenirs. A short stroll to Silk Market where you can hone your bargaining skills buying fakes and knock-offs. Hotel staff is very courteous, helpful, and speak English well. Beautiful garden with waterfalls outside. I stayed at five different properties on this trip and this hotel was by far the best overall. Among the little extras was evening turn-down service that included an indicator on the night stand that gave the expected forecast for the next day. Visits to Tianenmen Square, Forbidden City, and Wangfujing require comfortable shoes and a bit of motivation, or a taxi." - Kevin Kelley
