This is a very nice smaller hotel in a quiet part of town, but with several train/metro stations nearby one can easily access any part of the city.
Designed with privacy in mind, Standard rooms feature a wide, comfortable bed, a big bathtub, and all the amenities you need for a restful and relaxing stay.
Our simply but oh-so-elegantly furnished Superior twin for couples, with ample space for two to relax and enjoy themselves in comfort.
Just what I expected. Not a super bargain, but not out of line either. Very convenient to a JR subway line (which means your JR railpass covers it), although if coming in from Tokyo station, you do have to transfer at the second stop to catch a local train (to take you the one more stop). The Japanese breakfast is expensive, but no more so than at all similar hotels.
This modern hotel is excellent with large well appointed rooms. It has free internet (both WiFi and WLAN) as well as a washing machine room for guests to use. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo.
This hotel was extremely good value. Great rooms, only issue is sloooow wifi!
Hotel Niwa was an excellent hotel. Great location, central to getting around anywhere in Tokyo, yet in a quiet area (university area). The hotel was very nice, staff extremely helpful and location perfect. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Tokyo, and we will definitely return here.
I had an excellent stay at the Hotel Niwa Tokyo and recommend it to all!! This was my first trip to Japan and I was travelling on my own and a little apprehensive! However, after arriving a little weary at Narita, I boarded the Narita Express to Tokyo Central. Taking the local lines, I got to the Hotel within 15 minutes of reaching the city and it is literally a five minute walk from the station. The rooms are a great size and I love the pyjamas and toiletries provided. The rooms are very, very clean. The staff are infinitely polite and helpful. You are well placed for sightseeing. There are many restaurants and vendors near the hotel (within minutes) and a 7/11 right next door. If you do public transport (which I do), grab the special at Narita (which gives you a ticket on the Narita Express and the Suicca card). Most of all - have fun in Tokyo. It is a wonderful city.
Hotel Niwa is awesome. It is in a great location, nearby to a train station, two mixed business stores, as well as lots of reasonably priced restaurants. The rooms were fabulous. They were immaculate, modern and very comfortable. They are a great example of mixing Western and Japanese styles together. The setting with its wonderful garden is also terrific. We very much loved coming home at the end of the day and relaxing in the most magnificent massage chairs. The staff were extremely helpful and assisted us with further hotel bookings. The use of the business centre with internet access and photocopier was much appreciated. We wouldn't stay anywhere else if we were in Tokyo again.
While the room was small, the ambience was very pleasing and the bed large. No traffic noise but close enough to the train station to walk with backpacks. Loved it, and booked it again for end of trip. Staff very friendly and sufficient English language.
room a little small, but for Tokyo it was fine. excellent hotel and thoroughly recommended, we wish all hotels were like this. the laundry basket is a nice touch, staff went out of their way to help with internet and printing.
Very clean hotel and great ambiance and landscaping. English speaking staff and good house keeping. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The third floor has a relaxation area with massage chairs, workout room, chairs/tables, vending machines, and small outdoor garden. The location is decently located in the middle of most major tourist stops. Only comment about the location is if you are planning on using the JR system, the station is very close, but has no elevator if you are traveling with heavy luggage. (Does have a wheelchair lift though, but can't be used for luggage.) All in all, the hotel is a great hotel at a great price, I would definitely stay here again.
Hard to find, but well worth it. From the JR Suidobashi station (Sobu line) take the east exit and turn right -you should pass a footbridge. Cross the road at the next set of lights and you'll see the sign that zig zags you through to the hotel's front door. Beautifully appointed rooms and a relaxation room on the third floor with a gym. Excellent, helpful staff.
