Hotel Novotel Rotorua Lakeside

Very comfortable hotel in a great location. Excellent breakfast buffet. Lovely spa facilities. Highly recommended.

Had a pleasant stay at the Novotel. Friendly efficient staff and good facilities. They tick all the boxes, will stay there again.

Great service and very clean. However, I got some charges to my credit card for some assurance without any notice. They said it take 3-5 working days to pay back. Hope I will get it back soon.

Hair in Bathroom, no one answers reception, asked for a bottle opener and they do not provide one to guests - asked if we could borrow for 5 min and they did not even come back...fridge not working....so basically not a great experience. Will not use them in future.

Well located between the lake and the best restaurants, helpful staff with good swimming pool and spa.

one thing i would like offered is better pillows otherwise we had a great stay

Travelling with an infant made me think twice about booking a hotel since I require a microwave to warm up my baby's bottles, and sterilise the bottles too. At Novotel Rotorua, I was able to do this anytime of the day at their reception which was open 24 hours. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. There was free internet too available at the lobby for hotel guests. They provide free parking too.

front desk staffs not so friendily and does not know even hotel facilities and surrounding area.

Excellent place to stay. It even had parking.

The main reason we chose this hotel was the HEATED pool for our teenager. The pool was tepid although was advertised as heated (there are alot of other hotels with lovely heated pools in Rotorua where we would have stayed if we had known the pool was not hot, it was even too cold for her who swims in our cold pool at home in October and March. There were several people complaining of the same thing. When we wanted to check out there was a long queue, we were still wanting to enjoy the day and not spend our time waiting in the queue, this was not the people on the receptions fault, they reception was obviously understaffed at checkout time. Also we wanted to check our emails and everytime we went to use the computer there were unspuervised children playing games on the internet, making it difficult for those only wanting to use the internet for a short time

Handy location, friendly staff, comfortable hotel in almost as-new condition

Dated Hotel but generally okay and great location relative to restaurants and town centre. Poor room service e.g. room safe was locked on arrival and requests were made both in person at front desk and by phone to get it opened. Despite assurances it would be attended to no-one ever came to sort it out.

Very nice overall. The rooms are of good size. However the beds are a little hard. Close to cafe precinct. I would recommend to friends but would warn of the beds! Thank you, Sue Wind
