When searching for a hotel in Riga, our property would be the best choice in terms of value and location - Hotel "Riga" is situated in the most beautiful area - the very city centre, just opposite National Opera and the Freedom Monument. It is named after the capital - "Riga" - as it had to become a hospitality symbol of the city since its construction.

Smell not good. But the building is very nice. I like the restaurant at G/F very much which was an heritage.
Excellent location, close to the old city and centre, short walk to the public airport bus. Room was spacious, but rather cold. Friendly and helpful personnel. Breakfast was ok, but pretty simple and basic. Anyway, if we go to Riga again, will stay here again.
good central location for bus and train stations.Currently undergoing renovations so normal terrace restaurant not in use.
Perfect location just few minutes walk from Old Town. I have been there earlier and I will be there again.
Perfect location for those who would like to spend most of the time in Old Town and/or shopping. Old Zeppelin halls where markets are is also only few houndres meters away.
Limited availabililty of hot water. Bad smell in room
There was a bad smell all over the hotel. Parking was offered in another hotel for 15 Euro when the other hotel charged 10 Euro for the service. Though the hotel stated that there was a sauna, it was only available free of charge from 08:00 hrs to 10:00 Hrs. I expect much more from a four star hotel.
Hotel is out of date, needs a complete redecorating.
No minibars or refrigerators in yhe rooms.
Everything was OK - spacious room, good service, great breakfast. The only problem was car parking, but we got only a 10 lat penalty for parking in front of the hotel.
the level of service leverance was exellent. the breakfast buffet was very good.
Some personal at the reception were not very friendly (rude) what is not nice when you arive. During breakfast it was rush our, hard to find a table and it was more looking like a barn then a hotel. We liked our room very much and the cleaning lady was doing a very good job (hard working). The location is sublime across the national opera and in the middle of the old town. We found Andre at the reception very kind!!
Great location right in the heart of old Riga. Our TV did not work, and so they moved us to a very spacious room with a spectacular view. The included buffet breakfast was also great. Nice place to stay and a great price.
The hotel has a very good location indeed - right in the centre of the old city. It reminded me of the big hotels from the Soviet period and was not as updated as I had expected. The reception was nice and the service quite good, but the breakfast room was huge and the buffet there disappointing and below average.
A hotel kept in an old pompous style. Although it´s a big hotel, the staff is very helpful
It was a ok Hotel with good location, but old east funiturer and facilities. The cleaning was bad.
Given the reasonable cost, this is an excellent centrally located hotel
The elevator is a little out dated. Perhaps look at replacing. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay in Riga and the Hotel Riga was attributable to this experience.
Pricing was high due to World Ice hockey championships taking place.
