My wife and I found this to be a very reasonable priced hotel as far as accommodation is concerned.The staff were friendly and helpful.Compared with street prices for food drinks etc the hotel is expensive though this expense is at lower end of western hotelprices.Overall we had very pleasant stay and would stay there again if back in Georgetown.

Situated on our highest floors, the Executive Suite features a cozy living area furnished with a lounge and dining area. Here, guests will find a cordless phone, a mini bar in place by the TV set, stereo CD player as well as a DVD player and separate remote controlled television units with satellite transmission and washrooms in both the living and bedroom that comes with a huge king-size bed. All rooms come with suite amenities with two thick bathrobes and slippers.
Located at the far end corner of each floor, the suite is built in true apartment style or ‘family format’ that caters to the needs of business travellers with families. Therefore, guests will find a complete kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, a microwave oven and a complete cutlery set with a small dining table in the living room. The Apartment Suite's balcony open to a breathtaking sea view of Penang Island. The suite is furnished with two dressing tables, a spacious walk in wardrobe and a DVD player as well.
It is a nice comfortable hotel with friendly and hospitable staff located in heart of George Town. Good value for money on the last minute deals. We had a great time.
Be wary of the concierge - the chap we used was only ever prepared to offer us the services of his mates rather than major brands. For example we wanted to hire a car, and rather than offer us both Hertz and Avis who were just down the road, he tried to sort us out with a 3rd party. He claimed he had no idea who the other companies were!
Staff service is very good - great team. Hotel is a bit worn out. Does require upgrading to earn 5 star. Breakfast is mediocre. Good enough for a quick breakfast. Better to eat at local stalls in town to experience local food if on holiday. TV & channels, one word - disappointing. A good option is to offer guest a pay for channel option. VCR is outdated technology. Does not cost much for a DVD/VCD player anymore. Car parking is fun. No space in the car park and diverted to an old machine system which cannot take large MPV/SUV and is chargeable for staying guests. Having been to another hotel a week ago belonging to the group, I find the difference extreme. Local management should do well to review the business. 2 beach hotels in Penang command premium rated but guests are willing to pay for the premium service level. Cheaper, smaller but newer hotels nearby will be a better choice until changes are made. Small details actually do go a long way in terms of service.
Located in Georgetown, about five minutes by taxi from KOMTAR and certainly within walking distance. The hotel is a clean and fresh business-style property.
Excellent location, walk to China Town. Good resturants all just short walk. Supermarket and mid size shopping centre part of complex.
Good location, walk to all of Chinatown in George Town. Friendly service and competative in-house taxi service. Shopping centre next door with all necessary facilities incl supermarket. Good resturants within three minute walk in most directions.
Ageing hotel but comfortable and convenient enough. TV very old and reception not great
On the face of it a pretty good hotel but having spent the previous three nights in the City Bayview we were slightly disappointed. The rooms and breakfast are better (but only just) but the location is worse so balance I found it hard to justify the $30 extra.
This hotel is excellent. It is a beautiful place to stay.
Staff very friendly, very comfortable. However there is 20 mins walk to the nearest major shopping mall which can be inconvenient. The food was great.
Value for money, great location, had great views. Service was superb and will be back if ever returned to Penang...for business or holiday.
