Getting there:FROM NAPLES RAILWAY STATION An hour rail journey from the CIRCUMVESUVIANA station "Napoli Centrale" or "Pazza Garibaldi". Catch the train you find on the lower floor, check for the line "Napoli-Sorrento". FROM NAPLES AIRPORT If you are landing in Naples at Capodichino airport, the easiest and most comfortable way to reach Sorrento is the "CURRERI" bus line stopping just outside the arrival hall. This bus will take you in Tasso Square, the heart of Sorrento. From the airport you can also get the ANM bus to Piazza Garibaldi rail station. From the rail station reach Sorrento by CIRCUMVESUVIANA. BY CAR Any direction you are coming from follow the A3 Napoli- Salerno motorway. Look for the sign Salerno/Reggio Calabria- Penisola Sorrentina as far as Castellamare di Stabia exit. After that drive along the SS145 to Sorrento. Drive past the towns META, PIANO DI SORRENTO and S.AGNELLO as far as Sorrento.

We stayed four nights in the Hotel Savoia in September 2008. This small family-owned hotel has an excellent location, just 4-5 minutes walking from Sorrento centre Piazza Tasso and 10 minutes to the Circumvesuviana train/bus station. Our double room was OK, clean, normal size, with a small balcony and a super-small shower cabin. As you'd expect from a 2-star hotel, our room was simple, but it was well-maintained--in fact, many 3-star hotels I've seen were (a lot) less impressive. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, also spoke English well. The breakfast was the most generous we had in Campania and consisted of fresh croissants/pastry, salami, ham, cheese, bread, cereals, yogurt, fruit juice, jam, butter, fruits and fruit salads. We were also offered fried eggs and pancakes. The only negatives I could mention are the noise in the morning (traffic starts early) and the small shower cabin, but neither really bothered us. In overall, Hotel Savoia offers outstanding value for the price.

Great to find such nice people the owners treats you as family. Situated in a great spot not far from the shops. Breakfast was great everything one needs is there. IF i EVER RETURN THIS IS THE PLACE i WILL STAY.

A family run hotel, this was a very clean and comfortable room. One of the best that we stayed in during our trip around Europe.
The room was cleaned well each day. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and they have definately improved since last time in room quality and cleanliness. I would definately recomend this hotel.
We thought that the Savoia was a lovely little hotel just off the main drag in Sorrento. The room was very clean and had a balcony which was the perfect place to catch the last of the days sun. The owners were incredibly friendly and provided a lovely breakfast - worth every penny!
