- After crossing the border follow the Basel-Sd/Bern/Luzern/Zrich signs
- After crossing the Rhine, follow the signs for Basel-Sd
- Take the right-hand lane: Exit (Ausfahrt) Basel-West/Bahnhof
Coming from the south (Italy, Gotthard, Zurich, Bern)
- On the A2 approaching Basel, use the left or middle lane
- Exit (Ausfahrt) Basel-City
Common instructions from all directions
- Follow the "Bahnhof SBB" signs
- Get into the left-most lane as you pass the dark-red Post Office building
- Turn left >Bahnhof SBB, Centralbahn, Post >Hotel sign "Schweizerhof"
- Follow the "Schweizerhof" hotel sign (ignoring the vehicle prohibition)
- Turn right into the first side street (Heumattstrasse)
- At the end of the Heumattstrasse, before the traffic lights, turn left into the hotel driveway
Check-in Procedure:
Free cancellation is possible until 4 p.m. on the arrival day. All rooms, which are not cancelled within that time, will be charged with the first night (excluding breakfast/city-taxes).

Five free parking spaces are available in front of the hotel for the use of Hotel Schweizerhof Basel guests. These spaces cannot be reserved the rule is "first come - first served".
The reception staff will be pleased to reserve space for hotel guests' cars in the nearby Centralbahn-Parking (reduced rate of CHF 23.-- per night).
Child Policy:
A single parent and child will pay the sole occupancy price for the selected room category.
Children aged up to 12 may sleep in their parents bed free of charge.
If an additional bed is required (only possible in the Ambiente category) a charge of CHF 50.-- will be made (includes breakfast).
