"We had a great stay at Hotel Sophia. It's really close the the Sky Bus - only one block and trams are super close! The staff were so friendly and helpful they brought whatever we needed up to our room. The room was clean and the beds were really comfortable. The shower didnt have very good water pressure and went cold on us sometimes - thats probably the only little complaint. An all around good stay and we would definitely stay there again." - Anonymous

"Very disappointed with the size of the room, especially the tiny bathroom. The full length mirror was inside the cupboard door but didn't open fully out so you couldn't see unless you tried to stand inside the cupboard. Only one small window but the blinds were flimsy and let way too much light in at night. We could hear the people in the room beside us boiling their jug and having a shower. Hotel Sophia is located in the west end of Melbourne CBD, on the corner of King and Little Lonsdale St and is only a few hundred metres walk from Southern Cross Station and the Skybus Super Shuttle.
From Tullamarine Airport: Hotel Sophia is located 24 kilometres from Tullamarine Airport. A low cost option is to catch the Skybus Super Shuttle which leaves the airport terminal every 10-15 minutes during the day and only takes 20 minutes from the airport to the city. The new City Terminal is now located opposite the corner of Spencer and Little Bourke Streets, at Southern Cross Station. Tickets may be purchased from the driver. A taxi on the other-hand is a more expensive option and normally takes 25-40 minutes.
From Avalon Airport: The Sunbus operates from Avalon Airport to Southern Cross Station. There is no pre-booking required and tickets can be purchased from the Sunbus counter. The Sunbus meets all arriving and departing flights from Avalon Airport 7 days per week. |
