This hotel, which has a new name but looks back upon hundreds of years of therapeutic traditions, was constructed in 1871 by the count György Festetics on the western shore of the Gyógytó (Medicinal Lake) at the foot of Hévíz Hill. He named it the Hetes Ház (House Seven), since it was the seventh house built along this row, and was the first stone building that rose above the ground floor.
The family-style four star “Hotel Spa Hévíz” is found right next to the world’s largest natural biologically active thermal lake. The pleasant hotel that has been created from this Neo-Classical style building welcomes all of its guests looking to rest and recuperate to its 54 well-furnished non-smoking rooms and suites with one or two beds, air conditioning and some even with balconies.
