Hotel Stellar Sydney

This hotel lived up to its reviews and more. Located at the end of Hyde Park and near Museum underground station, the Stellar is ideal for transfers by airport train and walking tours of Sydney. The walk to Circular Quay is interrupted by the ANZAC memorial, the Art gallery, the Sydney Botanical Gardens and the Opera House. We saw all of the sights in 3 days, including a day at Manley Beach. We liked the Stellar and it's friendly attentive staff. Internet had to be paid for but time could be used in segments and did not have to be used all at once, unlike many hotels. There were plenty of restaurants in the area and night life was only a short walk from the front door. This was part of a special trip for us and I wanted good hotels that wouldn't break the bank. The Stellar ticked all of those boxes. We would certainly stay again.

I was in Sydney for my 65th birthday, and as I am used to booking hotels in London, I booked this one. I wasn't disappointed, and it was so easy for getting transport, and picking up our luggage to go back to the airport.. also very comfortable.

Location very good, Nice and clean, Good kitchenette, Bathroom small, but functional, internet was only real complaint . This should be standard; not good wi-fi, and should be free or include in price( would not mind paying couple dollars a day more) Would go back

It's small but friendly. Location is convenient walking distance to Central Station, Chinatown and CBD. It's near Oxford street but was quite at night. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Hotel Stellar was fantastic. My teenage son joined my husband and I on our trip to Sydney and the accommodation was clean, comfortable and suited three adults. The location is outstanding in that you can walk to Oxford Street, Hyde Park as well the CBD if you so wished. It was only a five minute walk to Elizabeth Street where you can board a free city bus (the 555) which gets you to Circular Quay. I would certainly recommend the Stellar - staff were friendly and helpful. We stored our luggage safely with them when we checked out in the morning, and were ready to leave for the airport later in the afternoon. My only criticism would be that they badly need a small ramp (say 1 metre wide) so that you can easily lug your luggage from the street level to their reception - the three steps are a bit hard going on your wheelie suitcases. Otherwise, great Hotel and we certainly plan to go back!

Hotel had great access to airport train and was very central to our needs Also a bonus its closeness to Hyde Park

Was greatly impressed with the rooms and service, centrally located etc. but if you are driving and want parking, if you have a car any larger than an mini you are in for an experience. I have a small vehicle mazda 3 and the reception clerk has to direct you into the space and to get out well you really want to hope that you have vacant spaces opposite you and beside you as you would never get your car out otherwise, there is no way if you were on your own you could do it, you need someone to help so that you do not meet with one of the pillons or another car, there is just no room. We are both experienced drivers and have truck licences so we know how to manouver a vehicle, but this was just ridiculous.

Hotel was excellent. Situated next to Hyde park and close to museum train station. Staff were very polite. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We'll stay there again for sure.

A great hotel just off the lively Oxford Street but not noisy in any way. The room was like an apartment with a worktop, toaster, kettle, fridge/minibar. Very good sized room. King size bed -bathroom not overly big but adequate and beautifully clean. Used the separate laundry facilities on site which were more than adequate. Staff were helpful and friendly. Purchased a token for internet usage but this was down for some of the time. Otherwise an excellent hotel

A true gem. Reasonably priced for it's location. We had the corner room on the 6th floor with views overlooking Hyde Park and were very satisfied with it. We spent 3 weeks there and used it as a base for exploring Sydney and it's surroundings. Very close to the train station and bus stops. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't notice any noise and the lift though slightly slow was quiet and adequate for the job. The room was serviced daily and even though it is stated that they do not wash crockery etc they did do it for us on a number of occassions. I would definitely recommend the Stellar and if I ever return to Sydney would use it as my base again.

This is the first time we have stayed at this Hotel, we stayed 2 nights, went to a concert and then chrismas shopping. I found this hotel very central to everything, just across the junction for Hyde Park, close to train staion. The accomodation was really nice, my daughter and I stayed in the double studio. I requested 2 single beds instead of a double as we wanted to sleep in our bed, we were peasently surprised to find 2 queen beds. The rest of the room was spacious, nice ensuit, functional kitchen and dinning area. Cleaners tided the room the 1st morning which was a nice surpise. I found the reception staff very helpful. We would definetly stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to stay in Sydney.

Kitty corner from Hyde Park. Walking distance to CBD. Rooms were modern, clean and roomy and came with a kitchenette. Room could use more light. Street noisy and elevator quirky and slow.

good location and room. can recommend. the only cons is for the lift. it super slow and noisy. it time to change to new one !!

stylish decor, large screen TV, shower was clean with room and did not leak into the bathroom, king bed comfortable, quiet at night could not hear any traffic noise. staff were friendly smiling and mostly french. excellent value hotel i will go back again and have already recommended it to my friends. Thank You.
