Hotel The Lutheran Osaka

The Lutheran was a stylish hotel and the staff were quiet friendly/helpful. It is located a little out of the way but easily got to by train, and is well located for Osaka Castle & the History museum. A handful of convenience stores & restaurants are also conveniently nearby, although more choice is available in the Umeda/Osaka station area 3 subway-stations away.

Good value 3-star hotel just a short walk from Osaka Castle. Room was clean and comfortable and adequate for a single traveller, and internet connected. I was able to book a non-smoking room too. Reception staff were helpful although their English is limited. Coin operated laundry available (2 washers & 2 driers) and vending machines on site. Buffet breakfast (western) looked good but I didn't try it. Subway just a couple of minutes walk away to get you to downtown Osaka. Would be quite happy to stay there again.

A good and clean hotel with helpfull staff and good location being just opposite the main bus and railway station. We fully recommend this hotel to visitors to Kyoto.

The hotel is located near the Tanimachi 4-Chome Metro Station and it was a bit difficult to find at first, but for everyone if you are talking the train to get to the hotel, come out of the 1b exit (about 4 minutes) from the Chuo Line, go up the stairs, head straight past the convenient store and it will be about a 30 second walk. Be aware that the hotel name is in Japanese.There isn’t much around this area, there are a few restaurants and Osaka castle is about a 10 minute walk. If you want shopping and entertainment head to Shinsaibashi station, and don’t worry, the train system there is really easy to navigate as the train lines and stops are all numbered and colour-coded. The staff spoke quite good English and they were quite friendly. The room and bathroom were decent size, clean, had nice modern decor and we had a nice 32 inch tv to watch from! They also had a western/Japanese breakfast buffet which was quite good for 1050 yen. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic rooms with free internet, i was however somewhat unimpressed by the way the late night staff handled matters...

We have no complaints about cleanliness the rooms were spotless. The only downfull is that no one hardly spoke english, the tv was only japanese and there was no pool. The location was excellent right next to subway and considering the price I have no complaints although the room was small, but that is the same in many hotels throughout Japan. Considering this was a 3 star hotel it was good value for money.

Very nice and clean hotel with large and modern rooms. It offers a laundry service, but at the basement/garage there's also a coin operated washingmachine. Other nice facilities are available (like free crunched ice or cold water at every floor). The hotel is located near the palace Osaka-jo and is within a few minutes walk from the shopping/business centre. Easy access to the Osaka loop-line and subway though it may take a few minutes walk. If I would visit the Osaka Kita region again I would definitly be staying at this hotel again.

I was very happy with Hotel The Lutheran Osaka. The rooms were spacious and the facilities were excellent, especially for the price we paid. Most of the staff spoke enough English to help us when we needed directions or assistance. When next in Osaka, I will be staying at Hotel The Lutheran again!

The Hotel is a business hotel in which they have ice water and ice provided on each floor. Laundry and drying is available at basement at about 300yen per wash. parking of car is chargable. Hotel staff is ok, knowledge using english could be improve. Generally, I will stay in the same hotel again if I go to Osaka again.

Staff was not very helpful regarding late checkout that was offered in printed hotel materials in room.
