Howard Johnson Hotel Vancouver Downtown

very comfortable hotel with good price, I will go again next time when I visit Vancouver.

Hotel was very conveniently located right in the heart of the town with a skytrain station just 5 mins walk away and frequent bus services passing the hotel. The area might be a little too lively for some tastes and noise at night might concern some especially if you are just over the night club attached to the hotel but it didn't bother me. The free wifi worked well.

The Hotel is centrally located, and the staff were very helpful. The facilities, when compared to price, is excellent. I would have no hesitation to return to this Hotel.

Staff were very helpful. Decor is a little tied. The rooms need to be double glased to keep out noise.

Tjhe cleanliness will need to be improved.

Hotel was located right downtown Vancouver which was good but due to current road works/construction, very difficult to reach with many road closures. Price seemed good but then hotel charged additional $14/day for parking and local calls were also billable so price quickly became less of a bargain.

This is good hotel, at heart of down town. People are nice, internet speed is good, have ice machine, have lot of good Japanese, Chinese, general restaurants. Roadside is little noisy upto Mid night- value for money

Rooms are small but adequate for a short stay. Location of hotel is adjacent to "red light area" therefore would possibly not suit all clients.

minimal facilities eg no continental breakfast provided, noisy due to nightclub or nearby entertainment(we had a room facing the street). eventhough situated in the heart of Vancouver still a distance to walk to the shops/sights.

Hotel was very good. Good position for sightseeing but in the not so nice part of town but for the price very good.

Internet service was not good, it's the signal most of the times was not strong.

Great Downtown location, the major sights are within walking distance. Although there are adult shops across the street, there are many hotels in this same area, so paying more would only reflect the hotel itself, not the location, and the HoJo was fine for us.

This is a small hotel but in a great position within walking distance to centre plus next door is a fabulous bar which is famous (justly so) for its chicken wings, yum! Hotel is clean but with small rooms but satisfactory for a 2 night stay if outside all the time.

Was a good choice for us as we were there for the Vancouver Interior Home Show and the venue was 15 mins walk. There is a great restaurant that we found nearby on Hamilton Street called Hamilton Grill and would recommend it. Would definately stay here again.

Hotel on Granville Street. Hotel has a night club one side and a bar the other so was very noisy until about 4.30 in the morning on both nights that we stayed.

It is situated in the heart of an entertainment district and as such, three or four nights were very noisy, especially from midnight to 3.30 am. We nevertheless were very comfortable.

Clean hotel and fairly cheap but with few amenities, but then you're so close to the city and food is so cheap that you can just go out to eat all the time! The hotel is on Granville Street which it would appear is part of red light area with lots of strip clubs etc., but didn't feel threatened at all even late at night.

The hotel itself was clean and definitely great for my budget. The down side was that it was in the entertainment section of town...Crowded busy bars and clubs on the street level. The guy at the counter was kind enough to set me up in a room in the back of the hotel to avoid any loud noise....worked out great!

Very nice place to stay for a short visit(one night). The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. The room was very small so if we stayed longer, it may have been a problem. The parking was limited so I was glad I had a small vehicle. The area of downtown was questionable at night with many people on the street to make us feel uncomfortable.

downtown location good - complimentary breakfast excellent.
