Aircon is just the right temp, warm but wont make you burning bed is comfy and quiet, have bath, great location, walk distance to wangfujing and CBD area, beijing station MRT just 2 mins walk! For usd 70 a night is far worth!! will stay again
the hotel overall is a good deal, but the tiles in my bathroom are not that clean. i can see mold.... The location is amazing good. So i'll still recommend this hotel for who is the first time to Beijing. Near starbuscks (very important!!), two different subway stations.

Goodk mid range hotel, stayed in club room; all transaction done at exclusive floor with dedicated staff - great value, breakfast, beverages & snacks. Excess to wifi & pc setup with printer. Great location too - shopping & underground train within complex. Recommended
For being a Howard Johnson is quite dirty. Too chinese. The staff was impolite, although i can speak chinese. Like many hotels in china they have a "trust" problem that at some point is annoying. Anyway the location is good, close to the metro, and Beijing Train Station.
Worth it's 4 stars, good value, Best location if you need to use Beijing station.
Receptionists were unfriendly and unhelpful. They need to smile more, too!
Booked for triple bed, but was given two single bed. After long discussion and many phone calls, in the end, they give extra bed. But overall, this is still a recommended hotel. Good price, good location. Would stay here again in the future.
Staff was not very friendly/helpful and could hardly communicate in English, not what I expected from a Howard Johnson hotel. Opposite the hotel is a construction site so it's quite noisy.
The staff at the hotel spoke very little english and had trouble understanding my requests. In such a big international hotel, you would think that they would speak more english! The air-conditioner and fridge was not working properly in my room, so as a good will gesture, I was upgraded to a deluxe room which was ok. The food at the restaurant is ok and nothing fancy. I would not stay here again even though the location was good.
Very convenient location near Beijing Main Railway Station, but note, this is not the station where trains from Hong Kong arrive atand depart from. It is also very near to the subway railway system and only 2 stops from Tian An Men Square . The Asian restraunt associated with the hotel is awfull . Poor quality and hugely overpriced so dont use it . There are plenty of alternatives restraunts nearby includding all the Lao Wai favourites i.e McD and Kuntucky Fry
...4th time here, excellent location for short time Beijing visitors and shop hoppers, booked de luxe room this time which is more spacious...less amenities than last time (only 1 water/day)...but overall still my favorite in PEK...
very good services there especially free broadband access from the room, clean room and comfortable bed.
A very nice hotel with a fabulous location right in the middle of everything. Best beds in China! Helpful staff that can speak a llittle English. But why breakfast for only one person when there are two people sharing a room? Anyhow the breakfast was very good and worth its price.
Breakfast not 4 stars worth
The price during the olympics were very expensive. because we wanted to stay more days at the Howard Johnson Paragon. but a price of 4000 Yuan for one night is to much for us.
I stayed at this hotel during the Beijing Olympics and was favourably surprised with the quality of the room, the standard of service, friendliness of staff etc. The only complaint was that the non-smoking rooms may have once been smoking as there were still a slight smell of smoke, but not enough to worry about. I understand that as of June the hotel is no longer associated with Howard Johnson and that they are about to be rebranded with another international chain. Location is perfect! Very near the Main train station, two minutes walk to the nearest subway station, and 5 minutes walk to another subway line. Shopping centre and several restaurants right next door and across the street.
Stayed at hotel from 21 to 23 July. The hotel location is excellent for those who arrive at Beijing by train. Room size alright and not as small as described in some reviews (I had an extra bed and there was still space for luggage). A pianist played during breakfast time which created a pleasant ambience. Do not expect too much for breakfast in terms of food variety, but not bad overall. No complaints and would go back again.
Very good location - just 15 minutes far away from the forbidden city, 10 minutes from Wangfujing street and silk market and situated opposite to the train station.
The concierge (Alex) was absolutely brilliant. He spoke ehglish and was helpful with booking a tour to The Great Wall and to the Theatre to see the Acrobats (a must see). The location was terrific, right across from the Beijing railway station and walking distance to the Silk Road Markets. The only downfall was little to offer for Dinner in the restaurant (same as room servie menu) unless you went to the Asian Restaurant within the hotel.
great place and location. not much english...you can survive very cold beer in lobby! excellent will stay again
