Howard Johnson Paragon Hotel Beijing

"The staff at the hotel spoke very little english and had trouble understanding my requests. In such a big international hotel, you would think that they would speak more english! The air-conditioner and fridge was not working properly in my room, so as a good will gesture, I was upgraded to a deluxe room which was ok. The food at the restaurant is ok and nothing fancy. I would not stay here again even though the location was good." - Anonymous

"Very convenient location near Beijing Main Railway Station, but note, this is not the station where trains from Hong Kong arrive atand depart from. It is also very near to the subway railway system and only 2 stops from Tian An Men Square . The Asian restraunt associated with the hotel is awfull . Poor quality and hugely overpriced so dont use it . There are plenty of alternatives restraunts nearby includding all the Lao Wai favourites i.e McD and Kuntucky Fry" - Anonymous
