Husa Chamartin Hotel Madrid

The hotel decor may be slightly dated, but my room was big and very clean, with television, air conditioning, big bathroom etc. I was very happy with my stay and there was a great breakfast buffet. It was well located next to Chamartin station. This is an ideal spot for an overnighter for someone travelling on from Madrid, as many regional trains depart from Chamartin station, and you don´t have to carry your bags very far.

Easy hotel for a one night stay. Extremely handy for the Chamartin train station as it is almost in the station itself.

For us initially the main attraction was the proximity of the hotel to tired arriving passengers by rail. Chamartin is also an excellent starting point for Metro or Cercanias (local rail) to any part of Madrid. The hotel is a little austere lacking an additional all hours restaurant. The main restaurant does not open until 8.30 pm, OK for Spaniards but not for others with different lifestyle requirements. Otherwise this is a good to very good hotel in almost all other respects. I liked the shoe polisher on each floor.

Clean and quiet. Well connected location. A bit run down. I expected something much better for the price and the category. Just another railway-station mass-tourist hotel. Breakfast quite decent, although a little expensive for what you get. Won't go back, there are better options for your money.

The location is very good, just outside of the chamartin train station but the service is not very good.

Definetly not a 4 stars hotel. The rooms are very old, poorly lighted, noisy. The bathroom is very small and the bath/shower seems to be 20 or 30 years old... The location is superb, very near everything in North Madrid, just over the metro and train station (Chamartin). The breafast is very good. Plenty of choice.

No power points except in bathroom in order to use own laptop. No electrical adapters for UK plugs. No English TV stations except on paytv. No satellite TV.

The hotel is not a 4 star hotel. it is more of a 2 star hotel, must be a 4 star for spain. The staff: some were friendly and some were very rude. The hotel was ok, it was not what i had envisioned.

Excellent location we stepped out of the train walked a few metres and we were at the hotel. It is also close to the metro station too for trips into central Madrid. We will stay here again. It is really convenient when travelling by train.

WiFi at very high prices of this hotel is not credible at 2007.

We were satisfied with friendly hotel staff and a good choice at the breakfast. Also connection to the city centre by Metro was very convenient.

Great hotel if all you want to do is chill out after a train jorney, or get ready to leave on a train, but its not so handy if you want to head into town.

Entirely satisfactory chain hotel with superb access to Métro and connection to Barajas Airport.

Good business standard hotel and highly recommended for rail travellers as the hotel is located immediately at one of the major hub stations in Madrid.
