Husa Meson Castilla Hotel Barcelona

i found this hotel to be one of the best in the price. it was a way away from the beach but excellent for everywhere else. the breakfast was excellent. i very very nice place to stay. great wi fi. i couldnt fault this hotel in any way.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Although considered a budget accommodation, it skimped on nothing. The room was big enough, spotlessly clean, well air-conditioned, and quiet. The staff were helpful and professional across the board. The breakfast buffet was bountiful and well presented. Spacious common areas and a leafy terrasse, on which we had breakfast every morning, made for a perfect stay.

Excellent location, small room, breakfast allright. I suppose the price is reasonable, compared to other hotels.

Room in front of Hotel was very noisy,we asked to be moved and were given a room at the back of hotel,this was very Quite and the same standard as the one we vacated.The staff at reception were very friendly and helpfull.

The hotel was great! Good breakfast, small room, but very well equipped. Wireless internet not always worked in the room, but in the hall worked perfectly. Very friendly staff. If I come back to Barcelona, I would stay there again. Be careful in the tube station with pick pockets!

One of the affordable hotels in Barcelona that is strategically located near Las Ramblas.

although my room was tiny with virtually no natural light it was spotlessly clean and comfortable.the shower was great, but people upstairs and around the hotel corridors were very noisy. Because of its position almost in the centre of the building,there was no discernable street noise.why doesnt the hotel take credit cards?its position near the ramblas and catalonia square was really convenient

Location is excellent,2 minutes from Ramblas. Breakfast OK but not very inspiring. Tea/Coffee in room would be most welcome Reasonable value for money.

Barcelona is an expensive city, & I think this hotel is expensive for a 2 star property. Our room and bathroom was quite small and had no view. The buffet breakfast is very good and in a very nice room. The staff is very nice and accommodating.

My family and I had an amazing time here, the hotel is nice and the staff really polite, the locations is really good and in the heart of barcelona, the breakfast is nice and we recommend the hotel to any one...

The location of the hotel was excellent, breakfast on the patio was nice. On the other hand our room didn't have a window which would have been nice.

perfect location , ten minuets stroll from placa catalunia & las ramblas, hotel facilities good , breakfast plenty&varied, overall very good value for money. ps reception staff very helpful but could smile a little more

Hotel Husa Meson Castilla is a very pleasant place to stay in Barcelona. It is nice and clean, the staff is friendly and attentive, the rooms are slightly old fashioned in a charming way with acceptable space, the bathrooms are up to modern standards and the breakfast buffet is far beyond expectations with its excellent selection. You stay only a few minutes walk from La Rambla in a quiet and relatively safe neighbourhood and I would consider this place with its medium prices a highly recommendable hotel for a week in the Catalan capital.

Single rooms are TINY, with hardly any daylight, window partly blocked, and no view. Barely room for a small suitcase. Very clean. Romantic interior, castellan style, in hallways and sitting rooms. Location excellent, short walk to La Rambla, shops, restaurants etc.

A lovely hotel,great staff,especially in the lobby.Breakfast was fine and over four hours which is very civilized!

Hotel in excellent location especially if you are only in Barcelona for the weekend. We managed to plan everything that we wanted to see and it was all within walking distance, if you also count the first stop of the jump on/off bus tour! We literally only wanted a base for the weekend as we knew that we wouldn't be spending much time there and Hotel Husa Meson Castilla was perfect for this. The breakfast was served until 11am, and was your standard continental cold options. But at least we knew we would have something inside us ready for the day ahead. If you are in Barcelona for a short break and plan on doing lots of touring - this hotel is great. Basic but clean and very friendly staff.

We were nervous after reading some of the reviews on here but were pleasantly surprised. We had a great time, the hotel is close to everything and the staff will go out of their way to help with directions, excursions, taxis etc. Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone.

Recommendable. Very reasonably priced "classical" hotel with a good buffet breakfast in a very central spot. Unfortunately they were renewing their lift.... but as a compensation they did put a scale with apples on every floor... sign of good service.
