Excellent hotel for the discounted price we paid. Real coffee. My only criticism is that the artistic design of the bathroom means that light comes through into the bedroom.

I stayed for 3 nights at Hyatt Regency Kyoto. The room felt luxurious, making it a pleasure to come back after a busy day's sightseeing. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and very efficient to respond to requests. The room was immaculate, and cleaned daily. The hotel is close to a couple of temples, approx 10 minute walk to the JR Kyoto station. There is a small supermarket nearby. I had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

One of the best hotels we stayed in during our trip to Japan. Beautiful room, convenient to temples and just lovely.

Staff were extremely helpful and unimposing unless required. Rooms were immaculate, and would recommend a courtyard/garden view. Grill restaurant food was exquisite, though a little pricey. Was extremely helpful to have access to a laptop and the internet for free when required, though they only had 2 or so so you may have to wait, although they will call your room when one is available if you request it. Location was great, a short walk to the local station and a very short cab ride from Kyoto JR station.

It's a great place to return to after a full day of being out and about. Very comfortable. It was spacious, clean and staff were friendly. The only trouble is the hotel itself is not exactly close to the Kyoto train station. It's not far but more than a brisk walk and really not worth the 220 Yen for the bus trip or 640 Yen taxi ride. But when you are on holiday, it's not really worth worrying about. It's a great place to stay.
