"I was extremely disappointed with the room we had - it was in the basement, rather gloomy and very small. My husband could hardly get into the bathroom! The wardrobe was full of an ironing board and hangers of which I had to remove 2 just to hang up one ladies jacket. The air conditioning wouldn't go below 19 degrees and the window looked out onto concrete steps. At about 5am I was woken by the smell of what seemed to be cigarette smoke wafting through the window and at about 6am someone was banging a door outside followed by the throwing down from above of laundry bags! The girl on reception was not particularly welcoming and no-one had a clue how to get to St Martins Lane - Presumably other rooms in the main body of the hotel are better but for the money, which rather spoilt our trip. The only redeeming feature was that it was generally clean except for a couple of items obviously left by a previous occupant. £45 - 50 would have been more than enough for this room." - Anonymous
"Room was excellent and very well furnished. We were upgraded and this added to our enjoyment of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and the location was superb. All in all excellent value for money." - Anonymous
"I found the rooms to be very small, my wife and i were bumping into each other, and the stairs, within the room made you feel as if you was going into a celler, we had to up grade, if i knew we had to climb down several steps before we got to where the bed was I would not have chsen this Hotel. Please bear in mind these step or inside the ROOM!!!" - Anonymous
