the location is ok, the room is small. But the bathroom was very small. the internet needs help both the plug in and the wifi. the staff was good. but I think they would be better in knowing the area better for shopping and entertainment.
Clean, small rooms but such a convenient location and they're reasonably well-equipped. Unfortunately this hotel advertises services they do not provide - most notably a minibar/fridge. If you complain and/or need to change rooms expect to wait several hours for a return phone call.
The single room was definitely a single but with a decent sized single bed. Couldn't swing the proverbial cat.... Modern en suite shower room with lovely hot water. Friendly staff. I cannot comment on dining/breakfast facilities as I did not use them. The reception safe turned out not to be a safe but things kept behind reception! I think a room safe would a great improvement. I would stay again, without valuables.
What a relief to find a hotel in a quiet and safe street only five minutes walk from Paddington Station, where the room was well fitted out, clean and large enough to swing the proverbial cat. It was lovely to be able to sleep with the french doors open and not to have traffic or other noise keeping us awake. Plenty of good places to eat nearby. I booked well in advance and got a good rate. I'll definitely look to use this hotel again.
good business hotel - round the block from paddington and hydepark so very convenient rooms a little small but fine for a quick trip to London
Staff were very friendly and helpful, room felt clean but it was a very VERY small room! Good for a couple of nights to see the London sights - close to Paddington station and a 15-20 min walk to Oxford St.
Small, very typical average Bayswater hotel with a good, quiet location in the area (10 minute walk to Queensway or Paddington station). My single room (#007) was incredible small but redecorated and with a good bed. The room was made for sleeping and not to spend time in. Good breakfast and the hotel was clean throughout. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Small room but clean and had aircon. Staff very helpful.
Rooms were very small and basic for a 4 star hotel. Location was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful.
I really enjoyed my stay the staff were very helpful, the room we had was a nice size i was very happy with it. it was a good location only minutes from the underground, the only thing i was disappointed in was that they had no bar.
I stumbled on this hotel when using a competitor's website and was as we were starting to conserve our money, I opted for one of the cheapest hotels on offer, hence we were expecting what we were prepared to pay for BUT pleasantly surprised with this excellent value for money accommodation. Ended up taking the "Breakfast Special" offer and again great value for money. Would definately stay again if in London for a night.
The location of the hotel is exellent. Rooms are nice and clean, but very small (ours was at least). The lack of air condition was another minus for this hotel.
Although we had quite a few complaints to make, actually the staff assisted as best they could and even offered us 20% off our bill as a goodwill gesture. Location really convenient and on a peaceful street. Rooms quite small but have character. I would go there again definitely.
Great rooms and location. Only irritation was the water pressure - it was fine in a friend's room but we had almost none. Other than that, it was great.
My room was extremely well appointed, recently refurbished and well furnished. A little on the small side but not a problem. Breakfast was a tad expensive - if you are on a budget eat at one of the many local cafes instead.
The hotel was well placed near Paddington station & the Paddington express from Heathrow airport. The staff were quite friendly. The entrance foyer was very nice but after that the passages & the room looked as if they needed a good clean up. Wall paper was peeling off the walls & the place looked 'shabby'. The room was a good size but the bathroom was extremely small & the tiles in the shower were quite dirty. Things like light globes in the reading lights in the room didn't work. No hairdryer in the room although one was supplied when asked for. The breakfast was very basic. With a bit of a clean up this could be quite a nice hotel. There didn't seem to be many other people in the hotel but we were put right down the end of a passage away from everyone & everything. May consider staying there again because of the convenience to Paddington station.
Rooms are somewhat small but this is to be expected in London. The room safe did not work and the hotel did not attempt to repair it when reported although they offered an alternative of keeping items in their safe.
location is perfect. only 5 minutes walk from paddington station. on the plus side, the room i got was a newly renovated one and tastefully appointed. fast internet connection. huge flat widescreen tv. on the minus side, however, the shower stall - though nice and new - was a tiny 60cm x 60cm, hardly any elbow room even for my small frame (i weigh 60 kgs). water pressure from the shower head was very weak. the safe/security box was locked and couldn't be used. reception could/would not help. the room itself was teeny-tiny even though it was classified as an "executive double room." of course this last point is nothing new about london where hotels seem to compete who can charge most for the tiniest room and the least service. overall it was still an okay stay but one sort of expects a little bit more from an "executive double room" even if it is in london.
Generally recommendable if you don't require much more than a comfortable room to sleep in and a shower - not the right place for a romantic honeymoon though ;)
Location is walking distance from the train station, even with your luggage. Hotel staff were friendly and available 24 hours. No microwave or fridge facilities in the room and none available in communal areas meaning you can't buy a microwave meal at the supermarket and heat it up and you can't keep your softdrink cold. The rooms were heated by central hot water pipes.
