Originally opened as a hydropathic health spa to Sydney socialities in 1904, a multi-million-dollar restoration in 2000 has re-established it as a premier hotel in the Blue Mountains. Getting there:

The most direct route to the Hydro Majestic Hotel from Sydney is to join onto the M4 freeway. At Penrith this becomes the Great Western Highway. Stay on the Highway for approximately 45 minutes and you will come to Katoomba. Stay on the Great Western Highway for another 10 minutes and you will reach the Hydro Majestic Hotel.
