The boutique hotel Ibsens Hotel overlooks the Nansensgade area, a small oasis in the heart of the city bustling with café life and fascinating shops. The hotel is situated close to the idyllic string of lakes and only five minutes from Nørreport station with train and metro. The newly-renovated hotel features a lounge area with lovely sofas, fireplace, a library corner. The hotel is Fine, but not that exciting. Could do better.
Staff is excellent. Very friendly and helpful...even supplied umbrellas for us on rainy day. Location is good for a first visit to Copenhagen. Most key tourist sites within easy walking distance. Be sure to take the canal ride. Room is typical European, i.e. small, but nice.
Standard single rooms small but comfortable enough for a few nights’ stay. They are ideal for busy business guests and tourists that basically only need a comfortable bed to sleep in at night.
Superior single rooms offer larger single beds (1,40 cm) and are larger than standard single rooms. The sitting area is spacious and the décor is different.
Standard double rooms are equipped with either 2 single beds or one double bed. They are generally bright and some of them offer a glimpse of the lakes.

The room was on the small side but was clean and comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff.
Had a reservation for a Triple Room. On arrival, the room which was provided was a Double with a third bed in the entrance of room - couldn't move or open the suitcase ! Complained at the reception and they promised to move to a real and bigger Triple Room the following day. After further discussion, we were given a Single Room for my son and removed the third bed - without additional charge. Finally, the Triple room was not available the following day either and we suggested to keep the Double and Single rooms at the same price. The Hotel accepted and it ended-up being a good deal for everybody. Rooms are nice, quiet and clean, breakfast reasonably good (included in the price) and the hotel Restaurant serves very good Italian food at reasonable price for Copenfague. Excellent location ! Parking is expensive in the city. I do recommend this hotel especially for couples travelling alone or with young adults.
Staff are extremely helpful. They have us great directions to all the sites we wanted to visit as well as great dinner suggesetions. Room is small but clean and the bed is very comfortable. Also on Sunday there is a late checkout- 6pm! Very useful. Overall good stay and good base for a economical weekend drip in Copenhagen.
Friendly staff, perfect service!
A very busy hotel in a noisy past of town. Staff at reception were not the most polite. Breakfasts in the adjoining restaurant were first clas, and the restaurant itself was extremely good value for a city that is very expensive.
