Ida Kuta Hotel Bali

We checked in at about 11:50pm on that day due to our late flight. The night shift hotel staffs were unfriendly at all. We were given a small to accomodate us, a family of four (2 adults + 2 children). The room looked "antique". We were so tired that we didn't really bother much and went to sleep. The next morning we went to receptionist to request to change to a bigger room that face the swimming pool. Fortunately, we were moved to a bigger room and thereafter we were quite happy with it. Overall, we are satisfy with this hotel - a nice pool, reasonable pricing, a bit dull breakfast and quite a spacious room. Frankling speaking, this hotel needs a new facelit in order to score more on its rating reviews.

Very nice hotel in a great central location. A few things that would help would be to have cable TV availability as there are no english speaking TV channels....for those few people who like to watch TV before retiring. The other item was the noise from water dripping onto an external overhang which could be disturbing to some people. Aside from that the total experience from check in to check out was excellent. Would go there again.

the location is great in the behind the kuta square. Unfortunately the staff wasn't friendly and helpfull. If you are a local tourist i'm not recommend this place as you will not be treated as what you are expected when you pay (not cheap) to stay at hotel, maybe they think local tourist doesn't good enough to get their respect Once i've asked for not cold mineral water, the bar tender rejected me just because he had to take it from the storage located 10 mtr from the bar (i'm talking about buying with 4x higher price than public small stores) while at the same time i need those water for my baby therefore i go out for about 50 mtr top buy it....and other unhappy experience. I don't know about others but personally definitely i will not stay at this place anymore.

Cozy, simple but nice.

We were very surprised when we arrved late at night to be placed in a very mediocre unit with outside ablution facilities etc and would have been somewhat upset if we had not been moved the next morning to better accommodation for the following two weeks. Notwithstanding, we found the staff very friendly and acommodating. Remembering it is a two star facility, the facilities, furniture etc were mainly quite old but clean and adequate. The pool was clean, well kept and the grass surrounds and trees gave it atmosphere. The location if you want to stay handy to everthing in Kuta is excellant. The place lends itself to the more mature group, people mixed easily and many left having found new friends. A place which quickly grew on you and one I would return to.

little hard to find but quiet and fairly central. Room we had was small with the bed against the wall..bathroom typical bali..be careful when paying the bill-lady on reception converted rate to rups from us$ then from au$ then to rups so pay in us$ or whatever your voucher says

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The food was alright, the massages didnt go for 60 mins as promised however they were enjoyable. We received an upgraded room before we arrived which was great. I might stay here again, however, will look elsewhere first.

everything inside the hotel are very old and some are spoil but good location nad good pricing . althrough its looks old i will still book this hotel next time ...

Great little hotel in a fantastic spot. Have stayed in 5 star in Bali and much preferred this hotel much smaller and friendlier. Rooms basic but very clean and recently renovated. Restaurant & Pool area great. Staff were lovely and very helpful. We are going again this year and taking our kids, will be staying here for price and convenience.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Although the hotel was old, it was exceptionally clean and the staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant and pool area was beautiful and we enjoyed the gardens. We were amazed at how quiet the hotel was considering how centrally located it was. Was a fantastic location and we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

A nice surprise, I have stayed in 5 star hotels in Bali, but found the Ida to be more relaxed and friendlier, this was both apparent from staff and other tourists alike. We had standard ajoining rooms on the ground floor over looking the pool. Nice veranda to sit out and have afteroon drinks and catch up with friends. Staff always helpful. Breakfast included, unlimited juice, coffee, tea, fresh fruit, noodles or rice. set menu of eggs, pancakes, bacon and toast. Great air-conditioner, not so good shower, nearly always cold. Kids room was good though. Delux rooms looked good, with out door shower. Entrance a long drive way and alley, but still an easy walk to Matahari (Shopping Centre) and main street, laundry across the road. We had read reviews towels were not good, so we took our own. Hotel towels not as white as they could of been, but clean and smelt good. No need to take your own. If staying here remember it is 2 star and Bali,enjoy the homely atmosphere. Will stay here again.

The staff at Ida really made our holiday the rooms were not bad for the price may need to look into their hot water issues will stay again nice and small and grounds are beautiful and clean and very close to everything.

The hotel is so central to everything in kuta so is walkable to many markets, beach, supermarkets, night clubs etc Dont mind staying here again as its not expensive a decent place to stay with a 24hr reception too.

Hotel is very old and need a immediate renovation. Rooms are not shown as the web. B'fast is not enough & they serve only two pieces of bread. Swimming pool is in very good condition.

I was shocked by how lovely this hotel was - it was SUPER cheap and I was expecting it to be pretty average. The pool was large, with a great bar overlooking it's edge. The beds were comfy with pay tv included. My only vice was that the bathroom was pretty small with the shower having no curtain or wall - just a hole in the floor in the corner of the bathroom. I did book the cheapest room though, so perhaps the others were better. However for the price (CHEAP) and location (2 minutes walk fron Kuta Square and the Discovery Mall) I was Really Happy and would totally stay again.

Hi all, stayed at Ida Kuta for 2 weeks, 1st few nights in standard room which were as average as any other hotel, but staff wonderfully local balinese.. I upgraded to a superior room for a treat and was great, outdoor bathroom + worth the extra cost.. i see some people wrote about rugged road up to hotel, it is, but not that bad and have certainly had much worse in bali + (asia).. great average size hotel and i have already decided to stay there again for 4 weeks in feb 10, and have left some belongings in their secure store room which obviously alot of return customers do... I loved it..
