Ideal Hotel Naples

This has got to be the second closest hotel to Naples station (the closest is more expensive). It's not the nicest part of Naples but is incredibly convenient. I never worked out the local buses so ended up walking to the docks (about 25 min.) for the ferries to Capri and Ischia but for everything else used the underground or regional trains. Basically this hotel was a wonderful find. A very good price (admittedly in January). My only complaint would be that I got quite a bit of coridoor noise in the room (not noise from other rooms). Staff were helpful, but do be aware, far less English is spoken in Naples than in Rome.

Pros: very close to railway station. Friendly, multi-lingual, helpful staff 24h day. Great value for money. Clean, spacious room. Wi-fi access in bar at set times for a fee. Cons: Surrounding area (lot of construction going on and dodgy at night)

The hotel was not bad for a temporary stay. The only push factor was that the hotel had no elevators and travellers would need to use the steep stairs carefully to move their luggage to their rooms.

Well located from the train station, just a very short walk away. From airport I used bus 3S (1,1 EUR) to Piazza Garibaldi, hotel is at the train station end of the piazza. Small, but cozy rooms. Firstly was assigned 16 (big in size), which is just next to the bar, but as it was a bit noisy, got reallocated to 56, which had nice balcony and was quiet :) Simple breakfast: two juices, cheese, ham, butter, white bread, croissants, hot drinks (coffee/tea) are available. It has no elevator, so a bit tricky for those who have big suitcases, but I was on a very short trip and a back bag, so I had no problems.

Good deal, however there are narrow and steep stairs and no elevator, which is the only nuissance in this otherwise nice place.

The room and toilet is clean n new, but the breakfast was terrible. The location is definitely a plus point, near the train-station, underground & Airport Bus station.

Avoid a room close to the bar. It's a litlle noisy because of thin walls. Rooms are small and not to clean but ok by south italian standards I guess. Receptionists are very helpfull. Breakfast is simple but coffee is served by a girl with amazing eyes. Makes breakfast worth while. If you survive crossing the road, the station and metro are only 150m away.

Great hotel and excellent service by all the staff!! Fairly small and basic rooms but the little bar with balcony made up for this. The breakfast room in the basement was extremely hot but hopefully this was a temorary glitch! The location is good in terms of transport as it's near the main train station, easy to get to Pompeii and other cities however it felt like a rather dodgy part of town. Make sure you ask the best way to get to the city etc especially if you're walking as you may end up in what feels like a very unsafe part of Naples.

This hotel is right accross from the central train station, so any travelling was made easy. Also bus stop was nearby. It has no lift so you have to carry your luggage up a narrow staircase. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Breakfast could do with more variety, and no dining room.

Everything is good except for the breakfast is too simple.

Location very good - across square from main railway station, and a short walk to town centre, across square from airport bus (1 Euro). No lift for luggage but staff helped. Good value for money.

The staff were very helpful and the hotel was at a very good location, we will stay here again if we go back to Napoli.

Very near main railway station. Rooms good size and clean. Breakfast good. Staff helpful except on check out as taxi strike in Naples and just left to our own devices. A good hotel if using rail services.

Very close to the central station. Pretty bad envoironment but lot of foot traffic,so it's fairly safe to have moderate meal.

Close to railway. Not much else going for it. Only good for transit stop.

Location was great since it's right next to the central bus and train station. Access to just about anywhere. I recommend this hotel to small families who are looking for good travel accommodation, but want to save money.
