"With the excuse that the Hotel was new, we had a lack of service and a very poor assistance from its staff. The cleanliness and the location weren't bad, but the service and the staff still have a long way to become at least good.
Eg. There hasnt any tv in the room, no internet (only in the reception - 3.00 euros/hour) The telephone in the room cannot be used (even for 0800 numbers or collect call - you just cannot touch the phone in the room or in the reception, go outside and find a public telephone, but be ready to walk)
Ill not narrate anymore episode about the hotel, instead Ill say that on my opinion I do not recommend this Hotel. For sure is possible to find a better Hotel with a better price." - Anonymous

The Nuovo Gabbiano ('New Seagull') is an exceptionally comfortable 3-star hotel that has just been built in front of the harbour at Cala Gonone.
Designed by Mario Spanu - one of Sardinia's most renowned architects - the hotel affords stunning panoramic views that are unrivalled anywhere on the island.
The hotel has a total of 16 guest rooms, a restaurant and generous terraces that overlook the harbour. Relaxation is very much the order of the day as you gaze out at the breathtaking vistas. |

| Getting there: |
From Olbia:Take the road signposted as 'SS 127' and head towards Sassari. After around 2.5 km, join the road signposted as 'SS 131 DCN' and head towards Nuoro. Continue along this road for around 75 km until you come to the exit for the road signposted as 'SP 38'. Take this exit and head towards Orosei/Dorgali. Proceed towards the harbour (Via Flumendosa, Via Cristoforo Colombo and Via Amerigo Vespucci). The hotel is located within the harbour, on the right-hand side. From Sassari:Take the road signposted as 'SS 131', heading towards Cagliari. After around 70 km, exit onto the road signposted as 'SS 129', and head towards Nuoro. After around 36 km, you will come to the road signposted as 'SS 131 DCN'. Proceed along this road, heading towards Nuoro/Olbia for around 28 km, until you reach the exit for the road signposted as 'SP 38'. Take this exit and head towards Orosei/Dorgali. After around 18 km, take the road signposted as 'SS 125' until you reach Dorgali. |
