Getting there:By car The structure is easily reachable by the motorway A1, exit Firenze Certosa. Take the superstrada Firenze Siena, direction Siena. Exit Poggibonsi Nord. Follow the indications for Ulignano. Arrived in Ulignano, follow the indications for San Gimignano and after 5 km turn on the right to San Benedetto and after 1 km turn on the left and entry into the S,Andrea's village and after 10 mt you are arrived. By train The hotel is 5 km from the Certaldo railway station and 10 km from the Poggibonsi railway station. By airplane The hotel is 70 km from the Florence airport and 80 km from the Pisa airport.

This was one of the highlights of my three weeks in Italy! Beautful country inn with fabulous views. Take advantage of the dinner that the host cooks.

The owner of the hotel could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, but a car is essential in order to get anywhere as there is no public transport. I highly recomend this hotel.
This place is a gem !!! This B&B is located about 3 km from San Gimignano, and boy, it is not easy to find it. We rented a car to drive through Tuscany, and came to the hotel really late, around 9 pm. The owner, Fulvio, is an incredibly friendly and charming person. The dinner he served in his small outside garden under the olive trees was superb. It was a 5 course dinner with different pairing wines and friendly chat, delicious desert, and a liquor as a finishing touch. The house was clean, and everything worked great, the view was incredible. And the breakfast was good too. This is the best place in Italy during our 2 weeks trip. Highly recommended.

Il Vicario is a delightful small hotel in an idyllic spot with fantastic views across the Tuscan countryside. The owner is most charming and he made us very welcome. He could not do enough for us. He cooked us delicious meals in the evening.
Excellent stay for those who like nonstandard hotel accomodation for resting: small building, no TV in the room, nice views, etc., but with rather moderate breakfast.
