My daughter and I stayed here when travelling around country England. We enjoyed our stay and the young gentleman in reception could not have been more helpful. I wish I had his name to mention here. The hotel was once houses and this adds to its charm. The room was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was fine. We would stay there again however it was a reasonable walk to Brighton Pier and centre of town. But it was not onerous.
Nice to stay there.

The room was small but clean, everything worked. There were several steps to go up and down after getting out of the lift. A reasonably priced hotel for what you get. Staff were all very friendly. (Especially the night porter who made me toast when I got in at 3am).
Nice and clean & friednly staff
I had a quiet, single room at the back with all I needed for a short stay.It is very near the beach and seafront, just 200yards.Breakfast was really good and the service was quick and pleasant. I had a problem with my bill which they sorted out quickly, and its a very reasonably priced hotel. All in all a very good nights stay
Just outside the city centre clean smart hotel. Car parking at 3 pound for 24hours was really convenient for us and only a 20 minute walk into town centre. For the price though you could get a hotel in the centre of Brighton as long as you book in advance however we must have stayed on a very busy weekend as most other hotels were full. We had a very comfortable stay at this hotel.
hotel was good and clean
A disappointing stay at this hotel. Couldn't get anyone to answer the phone when trying to order room service and no hot water available to shower in the morning. The latter seemed to be an ongoing situation with no-one at the hotel particulary bothered!
Size and cleanliness of the room ws excellent for the price! Definitely exceeded expectations!
Very happy with overall accommodation standard for the price.
The Imperial Hotel is a friendly place to stay, a slightly long walk into the centre of Brighton if no taxis are available at night but otherwise the location is fine. Single rooms are a little small but perfectly adequate for a night out and the price is great. My test is whether I would stay there again and the answer is a resounding Yes.
VEry comfortable pleasant & accessible, would recommend. Good vfm.
Great Hotel, Very friendly staff, great food at reasonable prices! The location of the Hotel is not actually that far from Brighton bars and Clubs, and is a nice walk (10-15mins) it will cost you about £6 for a taxi back in the evening! However, it was good to walk the alcohol and food off after a night out and you can walk right along the beach front straight to the Hotel!
Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Hotel is rather dated but is well situated and it was possible to book for one night only - bit of a rarity in Brighton
Very nice people and service. Nice restraunts nearby. The cost was a bit excessive both for the room and for the in house restruarant. It was bit far from downtown Brighton, borderline walkable. Overall, a nice, clean, friendly place and I would go there again, but the rates seemed a little high.
The rooms I stayed in were clean , beds comfortable, good on suit bathrooms. The resturants food was excellent and reasonably priced. I enjoyed my two night stay. Staff very friendly and effecient.
the hotel and staff were excellent.the layout of the room was a little strange with steps into and out of the bathroom, but it was manageable and the room was quite comfortable.
Bright, welcoming hotel in an elegant Victorian terrace on a wide, quiet avenue close to Hove seafront and County Cricket Ground. Impeccable decor and cleanliness. Good value for money.
The beds were too hard (cheap). The remote control for the TV broken and was held together by tape.
Marvellous large rooms, full of character
