Imperiale Hotel Rome Guest Reviews

3 out of 5

The Imperiale Hotel in Rome was certainly not a 4 star hotel and certainly not what we expected from a hotel on the Via Veneto. I would give it 3 stars. It was convenient to many Rome attractions - the Spanish Steps, Fontana de Trevi and shopping but it was definitely in need of an update. The decor was a bit worn and old looking. The hotel staff not very friendly. Our room faced an inner courtyard and had a small balcony but the hotel was in the midst of some renovation so there was constant noise all day from jackhammers, concrete mixers and the like. In fact, we woke up each morning about 7:30 to this noise. Although the location and breakfast was good, i would not recommend the Imperiale Hotel to others.

3.8 out of 5

the sound-proofing of the rooms is not very good, a lot of noise from the corridors and adjacent rooms. On the other hand, the location is perfect.

The Hotel was great, my only problem is the bed was hard as a rock. I loved everyone there and it was in the perfect area for walking to every part of Rome. Will for sure go back. Staff was very helpful for a hotel who deals with Tourists from every where in the world, very patient and kind with a bit of humor mixed in.

Fantasic location, close to metro, which you only really need to get to go and see The Vatican. The rooms were perfectly fine, no issue or problem at all. There isn't a swimming pool or breakfast sun terace, but thats minor thing, because you'll spend all day walking and viewing ancient Rome. A nice hotel in a great location.

good location but very little atsmosphere in the hotel. Bar was open but never saw anyone in there. breakfast ok but after five nights was unexciting and coffee was rubish. however at right price would stay again. talked to more people outside the front door than in the hotel

Excellent location and facilities for a good price. Location is quiet at night and there are a number of excellent restaurants right on the doorstep. All positive except for a badly designed bathroom which left a pool of water on the floor after showers. Otherwise absolutley no complaints.

Great location, within walking distance of Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain. Very helpful English speaking staff. On bus stop 110 which gives tour of city. Good restaurants nearby.

Good quality-price balance. The service might be a little italian - ask things twice before they are actually fulfilled. Friendly staff, excellent location (50 meters from subway).

Nice location, 50M from Barberini station, room size ok although I noticed that the rooms vary in size - you might be luckier and get a bigger one), ours was at the back which was very quiet, agree with other comments about relatively poor breakfast (stewed coffee, only hot selection was old scrambled eggs, poor cereal choice etc). Bathroom was nice but shower leaked water everywhere. No hangers for trousers! Off peak rate was reasonable.

The hotel is well located for the Barbarini metro which takes you directly to the main termini and also to all the sights. The hotel is on quite a bustling street and there are plenty of restaurants directly outside. We ate there the first night but found it quite expensive - take a walk down towards the trevi fountain area and you will find plenty of well priced places to eat and the fountain is beautifully lit in the evening!! Good reception from the hotel staff - they were always helpful and polite. The room was spacious but quite basic - beds were not overly comfortable. Breakfast was the worst part of our stay - tried it the first morning and then just stuck to a cup of tea after that! I would recommend eating breakfast out.

Loved this beautiful hotel and the position! Our lovely room overlooked via veneto with stunning street views. Staff quite helpful. Some tourist options across road and nearby(Barberini Palace).Breakfast substantial, close to underground train station, bus routes and in walking distance to main road shops, nice eating areas and internet close by. Longer walk to Spanish steps but train options better to hop on hop off at most tourist destinations.
