Impiana Resort Cherating Kuantan

Pros: 1. The recreation manager on duty, Eddy, was very friendly and despite only my two girls were there when it was time for the colouring competition, he still went ahead and brought out the art supplies. 2. The long stretch of beach is clean and nice. 3. Knowing the standards of hotels along Cherating Beach, I was pleasantly surprised to find the room (and particularly the bathroom/toilet) was cleaner and expected. Cons: 1. The hotel was running on full occupancy and they ran out of towel, shower gel and soap. We called few times for the towels only to be told the towels would be delivered to us once the soiled ones were laundered. I find it incomprehensible for a 4-star hotel to run out of towels! The shower gel and bath soap never came but luckily I brought my own so I didn't make a fuss. 2. Selection of food at breakfast can be better.

The rooms were a little old, but nice. Must remember to bring mosquito repellent when you're there. The mosquito nets around the bed do not help as there are holes in the nets. Our room bath tub was clogged, so was invconvenient, but the maintenance guy was helpful. All in all, would have been nicer if the hotel was refurbished.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here! We have been visiting [other hotel] for the past 12 years but haven't stayed in Impiana before. We won't go anywhere else other than Impiana after this! My only comment is that it was quite hard for us to get to the reception because we had a baby and there was no ramp for the stroller. We had to carry the stroller on the stairs. Other than that, everything was excellent, plus the food was really marvellous.

Overall I would not stay at this Hotel again unless they do a major refurb. The last time I came here was ten years ago and thought it was nice. Shame they have not done anything with the Hotel since. The Swimming pool had tiles missing everywhere, dangerous, easy to cut your feet.
