This hotel has had its day and is in need of updating badly. The only reason we stayed here was because we were going to the Gili Islands and was close to where the boat departed. It was only an overnight stay. Would not choose to stay here any longer.
Smoking is allowed everywhere- in the corridors, restaurants during the breakfast and so on, which is unpleasant and harmfull. Staff is nice but hotel will try to reap unsuspected guests on any occasion they can. The standard of cleanliness is lowest in the reagion. The hotel itself needs a major renovation - everythign seems to be old and many things need to be replaced adn repaired
Partial view beach and garden or pool view, two storey building at beach front. Private Air Conditioning control, bath and shower, water closet, in house moview, satellite TV channel, tea & coffee making facilities, IDD, mini bar plus standard guest supplies.
Full sea view, located at ten storey building, private Air Conditioning control, Bathtub and shower, water closet, in house movie, satellite TV channel, tea & coffee making facilities, IDD, mini Bar, in room safe deposit box and standard guest supplies.
The Garden room we stayed in can use some TLC. The bathroom fittings were in poor condition as was the air con. Also found some dirt behind the bed & old food stuff under it. The linen/towels had old stains on them too although they felt washed & starched. Everything else about the hotel was lovely & breakfast was fantastic.
In its day this Hotel would have been magnificent ,40 years ago. Rooms now tired and bathrooms need a serious update. Facilities good and service good . Only one downside. Do not leave luggage there if you are going to the Islands ,The charge is US$25.00 per item per day!!and this is when you are returning for a further stay. At other Hotels this is a NO CHARGE service.
The hotel is very old and the rooms smelt mouldy. However; the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. The hotel is certainly past it's prime but is was a pleasant stay.
its very good for whom like to stay close to beach
Good location for beach but need taxi. Bit expensive in the surronding. Hotel itself is great. Many facilities & shops. I recommend no problem. Room is fine, clean, with balcony and great view. Quality-price is good.
The staff are efficient. All front line staff I met were able to speak English. The staff were proud to be part of the Hotel which made a difference to their service level. The hotel is located on a good part of the beach, close to other amenities and eating place but at the quieter end of the beach. 3 pools to choose from which helps if finding solace by the poolside.
Excellent value for money. If you want a cheap but top quality hotel in Sanur this is the place.
While the Inna Grand has seen better days, it is still an excellent choice to stay in the heart of the Sanur area. The extensive grounds and beachside location are very impressive and the pools are great for swimming and sunbaking. The hotel services are extensive and generally good value. The whole complex has a certain charm, and i would be happy to stay there again!
good
Fantastic if you get a good price. ie stayed there in 2003 for $US 43 when the published rate was $US 200...seems prices have recovered lately....
In need of renovation as it looks a bit tired having been there since the mid sixties. The resort feel and gardens make for a pleasant retreat from the beachfront to the SW which is peasant to visit and where the restaurants are generally better than the hotel.
Fantastic Resort! Would not stay anywhere else if I was to go back to Bali, highly recommended!!!
Although the resort has a built up a good reputation due to its history, the fact that it has been around for quite some time means that it is starting to show its age. This is reflected in the pricing and thus still offers good value for money. The service is still excellent.
Very good food. Great swimming pools and best position to access Sanur reef surfing spot. Golf course is a bit run-down, but close proximity and 50% discount for guests makes it an attractive option. Choice between 'tower' and 'garden' accommodation is an advantage. (We looked at both and chose to stay in 'garden'. The recent bombing meant occupation rates were pretty low, but one can imagine a 'festive' atmosphere when more people are around.
