Ab Ostbahnhof ( 2,5 km ) : Busverbindung Bus 240 bis Simon-Dach-Str., dann zu Fuß Richtung Frankfurter Alle bis Bänschstrasse (600m), danach nach links in die Bänischstrasse (100m)

This hotel was well worth its price! The rooms were large and the shared bathrooms also, situated just across the hall. I will go there again.
If you're looking for a nice place to stay, in a neighbourhood of many cafè's, restaurants and nice people, this is a good choice.

Good little place near a U-Bhan stop, very good value for money and a couple of excellent Turkish food places.
The service was fantastic! The hotel was fairly basic, but it has everything that a budget traveler needs.
Service was excellent, a little out of the city, but transport is cheap including taxis so it was not an issue!! Had a great stay.
The hotel was quite unique. It is located at Samariter Strasse, in the eastern part of Berlin, which is only five ´train (U-bahn)' stops away from Alexander Platz station. The area of Samariter Strasse is quite charming. The people around were quite civilised. As soon as you jump out of the train (U-bahn) station, and head toward the hotel (which is about 5 minutes walk), you would walk pass a row of Turkish restaurant, Thai-Chinese restaurant, as well as an internet cafe, a laundromat, a Church, a small grocery shop (runs by a very charming Turkish guy), the American joint Burger King, and a DVD/Video rental shop (that carries eclectic titles such as "Der Untergang", "American Psycho", "Three Colours Trilogy", "A Chinese Ghost Story" and "In the Mood for Love"). The room as well as the shared bathroom/toilet is very basic but acceptable. (A.K., Sydney/Australia)
