"our visit was just an over night stop but very enjoyable. The location is excellent and an easy walk into the town were the parking is limited. We had an evening meal that was also excellent and a reasonable price. Breakfast was also very good. Hotel description:    A well-situated modern hotel on the edge of Chinon, a delightful town with an amazingly well-preserved medieval centre dominated by a spectacular château. The hotel itself is across the river, 10 minutes' walk from the château, and set in parkland near all the town's sports facilities - excellent for that early morning jog or swim! All rooms are medium-sized with the doubles, the twins facing the château, facing the park. Five family rooms are available with four beds and a terrace. All rooms have pleasant modern décor, TV with English language channels and mini-bar. There are two specially adapted disabled rooms. Bar and small lounge downstairs with large restaurant and terrace in the summer, and a heated outdoor pool. Ample external parking. This is a good quality, good value hotel for a stay visiting the châteaux of the Loire, situated in a very pleasant town and a calm and relaxing environment.
