Was perfect. Bed was a bit hard and pillows to soft
We booked into the hotel with ease and went to our allocated room. We have previously stayed in this room when the hotel was known as the Hyatt. We had dinner in the Riverside (Buffet) which was very nice and also enjoyed breakfast there in the morning. Only problem was a noisy refridgerater kept cutting in and out throughout the night. Requested an extention cord as I sleep with a CPAP and this was delivered promptly and was given assistance to set up my machine. I developed a nasty cold during this stay which spoiled the night but it was no fault of the hotel which I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.
I really liked the layout and size of the room I had (King Room with River View). The only issues I could say (and they are minor) were:- - The soap seemed very oily (might be they use hard water and if thats the case please ignore this observation) - Air con set way to cold (why do some hotels insist on setting their air cons so cold, especially when it was so cold outside too). Not a big issue, as I just pushed the dial up a bit - Pillows were a bit soft for my liking (mind you I prefer a firmer pillow than most people would)
Have stayed several times at the InterContinental/Hyatt also very happy will stay at the hotel on our next visit?
Intercontinental was good value. It was impressive on entering and the room was well presented and clean. We enjoyed staying there for valentines day. Food and entertainment was very good. Service was of good standards. Although the breakfast buffet was not in comparison.especially if you come down 1/2 before closing, most food was hard or cold.We would stay again, however have breakfast in the city.
used to be the Hyatt. The changing of hotel names flies in the face of any branding strategy. It would be much more memorable if hotels had proper names instead of a franchise label.
a great place to stay look into different room types and get inclusions.
Very happy with our stay. The staff were very helpful, the full breakfast...delicious!
Could not fault it. Excellent experience.
I booked quite a few months before our stay & wish i had asked for a room with a view - i presumed we'd be put at a decent level with city/park views but instead put on a lower view with no view at all - for the price & for it not being a busy tie for the hotel we couldve been looked after better considering the price we payed
Excellent staff and facilities.
Very comfortable room, TV's need upgrading to flat screen so that we can plug in a laptop.
Fabulous place to stay, will always be our destination. Superbly situated close to city shopping.
It was a lovely hotel. In the room there was no services available book. We new that room service was available 24hrs as this was on the phone but there was nothing to tell you what they served or how much.
What fantastic service. From the valet car service, check-in, dining etc. All staff were genuinely friendly, not put on. The whole facility was top class, modern, clean & fresh. I have stayed in many hotels in Australia, US, Asia & Europe and this would rate in the very top. I need to find a reason to stay in the Hyatt Regency Adelaide again.
Overall, my stay at the hotel was very pleasant. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent. The only drawback is that the hotel does not replace toiletry items daily. so make sure to bring your own toiletry supply.
A disabled room was rqeuested and supplied but the room was a long way form the lifts which is difficult for people with mobility issues. The room itself was good, except that there was no soap on day 1and either no coffee or no tea bags depending on which day it was!! Staff need to check these provisions properly. Also, whilst appreciating that older people are not very exciting and move slowly - the staff were quite cold and dismissive of us which is disappointing, given that the hotel is quite expensive for pensioners.
I loved my stay at the Hyatt. I wouldn't hesitate to saty there again.
Always a pleasure to stay here.
