This is my hotel of preference when travelling to Wellington for work purposes. Depending on the cost the club room can be good value when utilizing the extras.
Used the Club room option. Very nice club lounge with excellent, attentive service. Room was well appointed and very comfortable. Location excellent for our buisiness trip. Concierge assistance with taxi and baggage storage couldn't be faulted. Check in and check out were handled very efficiently.
It was pretty good. Nothing fancythough but great for value!
Always a great hotel to stay when in Wellington. Only issue was the road works out front at the moment
Great location, service, facilities, price, and room - the best hotel that Wellington has to offer!
Everything just ran smoothly while I was there, I can't fault anything.
High standard, reasonable price.
central with everything at your finger tips. A beautiful place to stay
Location is hard to get to. Views not great. Service excellent. Bathroom decor a bit average for a 5 star. Restaurant great. May want to include activities or similar for children.
Outstanding service from outstanding staff. Could not fault the service or facilities
Nice rooms with good decor, check out needs improvement -as too long and queues as well
Friendly and courteous staff made the stay even more enjoyable
We arrived in Wgtn about 10.30am and didn't realise that check-in time was 3pm. We were told the room wouldn't be ready and were asked if we wanted to stay in the Lobby or do something else. We chose to wander around the CBD and have lunch. We got back to the Hotel just after 2pm (with sore feet) and stayed in the Lobby. We were then told that the room reserved for us had been cleaned, but as the previous occupants had spilled milk on the carpet, and the carpet was still damp, we were offered another room. We were upgraded to a club suite which included afternoon tea, drinks & nibbles in the evening and a lovely breakfast the next morning.... It also gave us an opportunity to mingle with other occupants in the Hotel who were Club members. We also didn't realise how close the TSB Centre was, as that was the main reason for our visit - to see Abba Mania held at the TSB Centre. Very convenient. So thank you Intercontinental. We will be back.
Enjoyed our stay, facilities great and service generally above average but hotel room a bit dowdy for the standard of Hotel in a supposed deluxe room. However the bed and bedding was very good and overall we enjoyed our stay.
Very good service and perfect location. Much for the money!
We booked three rooms. We were disappointed, at check-in, to find that two rooms were on the same floor but several rooms apart, the third room was on another floor. The bookings were completed several months before requirement.
First class in all departments - our favourite hotel in Wellington
Might want to reconsider pricing of hotel wireless Internet service, this was significantly more expensive for a service only supported within the hotel than for easily accessible service covering all of Wellington
