"My husband and I stayed three nights at the hotel. The first room we were shown was too small and the hotel kindly provided a larger room (truthfully, our luggage just took up too much space). The room was adequate, no view, but extremely quiet. We slept very, very well. The breakfast provided by the hotel is wonderful and the service provided by the staff is excellent. We loved the location. We could walk to the museums (note: this is not the place to stay if you prefer to be adjacent to the museums and the touristy areas around the museums), viewing the city along the way and we were in close proximity to the Palace, shopping, and the many restaurants and tapas bars (Cava Baja) off of the Plaza Mayor. "People live in the street outside and will beg as you approach the hotel. They are drunk etc. One of them was seen to enter the hotel and emerge after a few minutes, using the toilet ? which is next to the lift to all floors. Very bad security. Apparently the police are reluctant to move them on. Other than that a very fine hotel, good rooms with very quiet double glazing. Not sure if the Air Con was working properly. Despite all that we really liked the hotel. " - michael patrick
