The hotel was very good in all aspects (above my expectations). It was clean and trendy. The only thing that I didn't like was the gym. It lacked some basic equipment. But its okay, I didn't stay there for the gym. For people who want to have day tours, IP Boutique Hotel is perfect since most of the tours will drop by IP to pick up guests. The manager, Daniel, was very kind and accomodating. I would definitely stay in this hotel next year when I come back to Seoul.
Location is reasonable, 3 ~ 5 mins walk to subway. The design of the Lobby, Lift and the room was very good. Good service in front desk, I took overnight flight and arrived hotel at 7am and I just think of droping my bag and go around. And I did not request early check in but they give me the room! Just one thing if the bathroom can add some curtain will be better! other than that, is great!
Note: Bathroom is a glass box and the lights are bright. When the bathroom lights are turned on, the whole room is illuminated which may disturb your room-mate. Other than that, quirky and modern ID and very dim corridors may appeal to some. Location is convenient with a minimarket just next door and subway a few minutes walk away. F&B and shopping are nearby too.
Conveniently positioned, easy use, excellent modern hotel with amazing decor. Very pleasant staff and their hospitality could not be faulted.
Very trendy design and friendly service. Bed was comfortable which is a good sign in a Korean hotel.
Nice hotel - great interior design, good location, 300m from subway stop, in a cosmopolitan area with lots of Korean and western bars and restaurants very close by. Room was not large but perfectly comfortable for 2, well equipped with comfy beds and a good bathroom. The ipod dock was a nice touch and there is free Wi-Fi. The staff was very helpful and the bus transfer from the airport stops practically just outside the hotel and is much cheaper than a taxi transfer.
The Positives of the hotel is that it was a great location with only a 5 minute walk to the subway, shopping and restuarants. Also it was in a more quiet end of Itaewon plus it had great views of the city. Also the staff was very polite, helpful and spoke good English. The Negatives of the Hotel is that the restaurant was closed while we were there and is closed till Dec 2008, No ice machines, the beds were Rock Hard, the air conditioner poorly worked and basically the Hotel is in desperate need of a renovation to update things and make them look newer and not so dated.
The hotel is a quiet old and the carpet in the room needs to change.
All in all, everything about my stay was good except for the fact that there was almost no English TV. Only AFN. CNN and other English TV would be nice.
Great location on the quiet, little Tokyo, side of Itaewon. The staff speaks good English. The higher floors offer a great view of Seoul's Han River. The rooms are a bit dated, but ok for the price. Great restaurants nearby too.
I've stayed in this hotel three times. My first time I had a bad experience mostly because I asked for a non-smoking room and they only had smoking room available. The rooms are nice, however their carpeting in the hallways need some work. Service was excellent.
The hotel should pay a little attention to its interiors and in house facilites though the services are good with a decent location.
I felt that the room I had was dark. The cleaniness and decor of the room could stand some upgrading...the carpet was stained.
Korea is an expensive city, due partly to high value of the Won. Hotels are also expensive. The Itaewon Hotel rooms are a little tired, breakfast is bad, but location, if you want to be in Itaewon, is good. If you just need a room for a few days it is fine.
The room was not very big spacious but for the price and the location was very good. I was only there one night and didn't use the facilities ie restaurant, whatever else they had. But your very central in the Seoul "Tourist Zone"
Hotel exterior is undergoing renovation. Not sure if this will also include the interior and rooms which are a little tired. It has a good location in Itaewon but not in central Seoul.
The Hotel Staff were very friendly. I needed to print my hotel voucher when I first arrived and they were very helpful.
A great place to stay if you're looking at spending time in the Itaewon district while in South Korea. It's close to everything and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It's also very nearby to the aiport limousine stop so is extremely convenient if it's your last or first port of call. I'd definitely stay there again next time I'm in town.
Hotel was worth to the price paid. Location & connectivity to/from Incheon Apt was superb.
Just at the top of the Itaewon shopping street, close to restaurants, convenience stores and coffee shops; a few minutes walk from the subway station and an excellent subway system that gives access to the rest of the city. A problem with the TV and a leak in the room were attended to within minutes of calling the front desk. The attitude and service was good enough to make a return stay a definite.
