Das Zimmer war für zwei Personen leider sehr klein, sonst super Hotel. Lage und Personal sind auch ok
The hotel staff could not of been friendlier or more accommodating during our stay. They booked restaurant tables for us, offered advice about etiquette at the Turkish baths and organised our shuttle to the airport. They were always friendly, welcoming and happy to help. The hotel was located near the main station and situated equal distance between two tram stops. There were a fair range of decent restaurants, a matter of meters away and it's a short 10 minute walk away from the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofya. Our room was pretty small but perfectly clean and suited to our needs; we used it as a base to explore the city, so did little other than sleep there. One slight concern was the fact that there was a large hole in the wall of our floor, round the corner from our room. Although this didn't effect our stay it was a safety concern as the whole was not cordended off in anyway. The breakfast was good, there was always plenty of food and offered a wide range of options.
Unkind reception desk-the communication was really hard as the receptionists didn't speak english. They gave us an economy room instead of the standard and they said that the hotel was overbooked so they couldn't give us what we paid for.On their website ,it was mentioned that the breakfast was served at the terrace but unfortunately it was served on the basement. Although these deficits, the location was really good and convenient.
This hotel is probably an European 3* category. It lacks basic room facilities (tea-coffee kettle), and has some annoying rules (it bans bringing food or drinks in the room except when bought from the hotel). The breakfast is pretty basic. The location is good for visiting the historical part of Istanbul but the aspect and maintenance of the area is depressing.
This was our first time in Istanbul, so we really went purely by what we read on the Hotel Club site. The Ipek Palas hotel was well located for visiting the sights. However, we did change rooms twice -once because the room was too small and the second time because the airconditioner was not working. The staff was very cooperative and that was the best part of the hotel. The breakfast was quite good.
Good value for your money. The location is quite good(close to the main attractions and close to the TRM station that takes you to the airport), the room is very good for the price although a little small and the service is good. Our only complain was the breakfast...Need to add more international chanels to the TV signal.
A friendly and nice staff, a very good hotel for low budget. Breakfast a bit sober.
