Lini Highway, Iririki Island, Port Vila (right in the harbour)
Iririki Island Resort is a stunning property situated exclusively on a 69-acre private island, in the heart of Port Vila harbour. It is only a 3-minute ride from the township of Port Vila to the island with a 24-hour ferry, complimentary to guests. Blue skies and bluer seas, lush green mosaics of gentle palms, shrubs and tropical orchids, quiet walking tracks and hidden coves, friendly, yet unobtrusive, staff are always on call, myriad-coloured reefs for snorkeling over and quiet beaches for playing on… This is the vision of the South Pacific. At the same time, it is Iririki Island Resort in Vanuatu, where the South Pacific began.

We have just returned from a week at this venue and we had a fantastic time. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We were traveling with a two year old and a three year old and it was perfect for them. We are planning on returning there in the near future.
beautiful ambience no doubt about it.... staff are really lovely but untrained and get mixed up. new manager....things could improve anyway. we loved it and accepted the good with the bad. my wife and I went there 17-24 Oct

Iririki is well positioned being 3 mins ferry ride from the city centre. This can also be a negative when it is Vanuatu's Independence Day, when what seems like the entire mainland sings / dances / yells at a huge celebration for no less than 48 hours straight. Iririki is a little old in places, but offers generally good facilities. Food is relatively expensive and of varying quality. It is not a foodie heaven. Pools are quite nice.
Rooms need some maintenance and, when reported, issues need to be acted upon. I reported a number of things however only one was fixed. Food is good but expensive for what it is. Wine jumps from 700 vatu for house white (which is not very nice) to 1150 per glass for a reasonable NZ white. The location is fabulous and the staff are soooo nice and accommodating (at least in the restaurants) however service can be slow.
A very pleasant and relaxing place to stay, nice friendly staff
The Harbour View Fare was comfortable ..... if a bit dated and even daggy. The location of the resort on the isalnd just across from town was great - away from town centre but really easily accessible by the ferry. Food at the hotel was expensive relative to what could be purchased in town but of good quality. The staff were really great -nothing too much trouble and very friendly. The pools and space on the island were great ... just a shame it rained so many days we were there
Iririki Island Resort was fantastic and a perfect location. Waterfront fare was exactly what we were expecting and delightful. Facilities were great and the 24hour ferry to Port Vila meant we could come and go as we pleased. Minor issue when we were checking out and getting transport to the airport (early morning flight) and I would recommend confirming the name of the operator for follow up. I will be staying here again and in fact cannot wait to go back!
lagoon front apartment very large, new & clean, breakfast limited buffet
Great location and wonderful lagoon swimming pool. Very friendly staff. Catamarans and kayaks available for guests to use which was great.
this is amasing but get ready to do some exercise the walking to get any were is alot they have carts to get a lift in but there non exsistant when you want one so and its all up and down hills this resort is for the extreemly fit only .
Lovely hotel and gardens, pools excellent! Food was only average and rather expensive. Would definitely stay there again though.
What a wonderful holiday, one of the best places to stay in Port Vila. Couldn't fault anything, so peaceful, wonderful people, great service. Will certainly be returning for another holiday
Arrived at 11.30pm and had organised pick up with the resort however, when we arrived they didn't have our details so told us to catch a cab. Worked out much cheaper - $10 as opposed to $46 which the resort quoted! Managed to get food poisoning from some food that had been left out a little too long in the heat (and recycled)at breakfast which put a bit of a dampening on the holiday. Was good in having a couple of swimming pools, excellent snorkelling (make sure you book it as it can be all booked out!), regular boats to Port Vila when wanted. Was a very relaxing holiday.
The best located hotel / report we saw in Vanuatu. A lovely location, friendly staff, nice resturants and good watersport facilities. The free ferry to the town is good fun!
we had a wonderful time and will visit again for a long week end as it is so easy to get to from airport and the facilities are so good.
Our accommodation at Iririki Island Resort was nice. My critisim is with the Main (upmarket) Restaurant. The decor was worn and tired - and needed updating. The breakfast was very ordinary and items listed on menu eg. yoghurt were unavailable. Dinner of an evening was very ordinary, the menu should have been more imaginative for that standard of restaurant.
Arriving at the hotel after having spent four days living in a traditional villiage without power or running water, we weren't the in most presentable condition when we arrived at reception, but to their credit the staff at Irirki didn't even bat an eyelid - even upgrading our room to a beautiful harbour view suite. From that moment on, our stay at Iririki was an absolute pleasure. The facilities were as good as anywhere I've ever stayed, and better than most. The food at the restaurant (Michener's was where we ate both our dinner and breakfast) was of a nice standard, and the staff were consitently fantastic - friendly and welcoming. Definately recommended, especially if you're the resort type of vacationer.
We really enjoyed the room in the apartment. Very specious and well layed out. Nice restaurant and lagoon-pool. Good system going with the ferry. So easy to get to town. Will recommend it to friends and when we would come to Vanuatu again, we will stay at Iririki again.
This hotel is very pleasant with good facilities available for guests. We stayed in one of the new Snorkelers Cove apartments, which was lovely, very comfortable and well-appointed. The staff at the resort were unfailingly friendly and helpful.
Nothing to do there when it rains - and believe me it does rain there! The ferry boat broke down continuously and the replacement was tiny, dangerous and without lifejackets. A hotel for agile people and take your own books and games for when it rains - nothing is supplied.
