Superbly located hotel. City centre in easy walking distance. Hotel car parking was €5 extra charge per day and is at the church car park, about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Room faced the main road and was rather noisy at night (no sound-proofed windows). R2G pricing had to be specifically requested. Without checking my final bill, I would have had to pay a much higher room rate.
The car park is 200m away from the hotel and difficult to find if you arrive late - it is down an alley! The hotel is located on a busy street and if you get a room looking onto the street - it is quite noisey!
Very central - average price
Food in Greens restaurant outstanding, although costly - reception couldn't have been more helpful
Basic hotel staff were friendly didnt eat there so cant comment. bit far away from the centre of town for me
A very centrally situated hotel that has all the facilities required for the visitor. The car parking arrangements were adequate but despite the distance from the hotel. We would book into this hotel again.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, it certainly has that extra novelty having a waterfall in the courtyard. I can also recommend Isaacs Restaurant which has a very good menu, however, I would advise people to book because it is very popular. The location of the hotel is perfect too, as it is only a short walk into the centre of town. The parking arrangements are somewhat unusual in that it is in a carpark of a nearby church.
Pretty good hotel. 5 minute walk to the city. We were on the first floor which is a bit noisy but it didn't really phase us. No air conditioning which was ok, if it gets a bit hot it's a problem because you can't open the windows. Beds are comfortable, bathroom is very roomy. The rooms are big. The restaurant is very nice set beside a waterfall. Would most likely stay here again when visiting Cork.
hotel isaac was very nice quite expensive prices for the bar and the dust on the curtain rail in the room was an inch thick
Front bedroom windows are not insulated. There is a lot of noise during the night from the road beneath
Pleasant hotel environment - the waterfall in the courtyard is a fascinating feature and the building is a sympathetic conversion of an old warehouse. Large room (really a suite) for the price. Breakfast rather disappointing - in Ireland you might expect something Irish such as soda bread, but the toast was standard white sliced with no choice. Hotel restaurant (Greene's) excellent for dinner.
We had a room at the front and there was quite a bit of noise from the road so if I stayed again I would ask for one at the back
The only negative thing is that I found it quiet noisy as our room was beside a lift shaft. Some friends stayed in the apartment which were great, very spacious clean etc.
I booked a single room for €136 for two nights through [yourwebsite] but could not stay in such a small dingy room and and to pay an extra €50 to upgrade. The new room was quite a small twin but was adequate, although it had one of those irritating 3/4 size baths.Breakfast was very good , the restaurant setting extremely pleasant and parking was free.
Beautiful waterfall in the Alley as you are walking into the reservations area. Think it is from the restaurant in the hotel. Amazing breakfast included in the rate...think you could order anything off their breakfast menu...no buffet, etc. Hotel is across the river from many of the pubs and tourist area, but it is an easy 10 minute walk. Overall, a good pick for the money.
The room for my first stay in 2005 was fantastic. The room for my most recent stay in 2006 was somewhat grubby.
Very helpful staff, convenient for city centre.
We were given a room at the front of the hotel - which was noisey if I returned I would request a room at the rear however this was only a minor problem with an otherwise fantastic short holiday. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the location was perfect. We wouldn't hesitate to book Isaacs again or recommend it to friends.
Very good standard, helpful staff. Only slight downside is having to Park off the actual hotel site.
Very pleasant hotel with friendly staff - standard room was of excellent quality and size - would have no hesitation in recommending to others.
