"We would have rated the hotel excellent in every area but for the fact we booked the club room to ensure it was a special occassion.I must say everything was excellent until the morning when the facilities to provide a hot breakfast were shocking,although it looked superb the food was so cold it was, to us anyway not worth eating.We actually went elsewhere to eat.It might sound like a small issue but it is the detail that wins the day.Everything else was well above average. "Hotel is in the centre, there are 2 entrances though. One is at the top of the road and then there's a lift to the bottom which is in a central location. Staff were really helpful and my room was nice and big. Would stay here again." - Anonymous

The James Cook comprises of 260 air-conditioned rooms and suites with a range of facilities suitable for business and leisure travellers.

Whitbys Bar & Restaurant offers its patrons a delicious array of choices from buffet to a la carte to light meals, Sojourn cafe is located in the lobby with an exciting menu of international cuisine. The hotel also has a resident pianist playing 6 nights a week.
