Jamsil Tourist Hotel Seoul

The Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. One night, I had a little too much shochu and they really helped me get to my room. The rooms are basic but clean, could of used some more clean towels and toliet paper but all and all, a very good cheap nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Also accessible by airport limousine if you make arrangements with the hotel.

This hotel provides good value for money in a location only a few subway stations away from the Gangnam area. Staff were very friendly and room was complete, firm and comfortable mattress, decent pillows, good shower. Free high-speed internet, a TV, a small fridge, a working desk, a table with two chairs, and space to hang clothes were available in the room. Hotel is in area full of (mostly Korean) restaurants, a market, and many shops including convenience stores and small supermarkets as well as bakeries. I gladly recommend this hotel.

Although the service in the hotel restaurant was efficient, the range and availability of food was very limited. I attempted to have dinner in the restaurant one evening and out of the entire menu only one dish was available. The limited availability wasn't due to other meals 'selling out' because it was early in the evening and I was the only one dining; I may have just caught them on a bad day however? The location isn't ideal if you're on a sightseeing tour of Seoul (generally the majority of things to see are in the northern part of the city) but it's convenient if you're on business and require easy access to railway/subway stations and/or bus routes in the southern part of the city. The free wireless internet access in the hotel rooms is particularly useful for the business traveller. It can be pretty niosy in the evening though since the hotel is surrounded by major roads. On the plus side the staff are very friendly and willing to help whenever they can.
